Somalia’s Chief of Defence Forces, Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, has arrived in Türkiye for a high-level official visit following an invitation from his Turkish counterpart. The visit comes as Somalia and Türkiye continue to deepen their longstanding defence and security partnership.
During his stay, General Ibrahim is expected to meet with senior Turkish military and defence officials to discuss bilateral military cooperation, including training, capacity building, defence coordination and the continued development of Somalia’s armed forces. The meetings are also expected to review ongoing cooperation between the two countries’ armed forces.
Türkiye has been a key defence partner for Somalia, providing military training and support to Somali forces, including specialised units. The visit is expected to further strengthen military ties between Mogadishu and Ankara and open the way for expanded cooperation in defence and security.

Pakistan has reportedly invited the delegates from Russia, China, Qatar and Saudi Arabia as observers.

The remarks by the President of Korea, Lee Jae Myung, including the trivialization of the massacre of Jews on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel, are unacceptable and warrant strong condemnation.
President Lee Jae Myung, for some strange reason, chose to dig up a story from 2024 and to cite a fake account that falsely presented it as a current event. This account is notorious for spreading anti-Israeli disinformation and falsehoods about Israel. The event discussed occurred during an operation against terrorists, at a time when Israeli soldiers were facing direct and immediate threats to their lives. The event was thoroughly investigated and addressed two years ago.
Yet we have not heard a single word from the President about the terrorists who were at the center of this event.
Nor have we heard a word from the President regarding the recent Iranian and Hezbollah terror attacks against Israeli citizens.
Mr. President, it’s always better to check before posting.
