The biggest and most homophobic lie of all is that ‘gay men aren’t really men’. Yes we are. We are men who love men who love being men. We are a diverse group of men like all men. Some of us are more feminine, some more masculine, and we all have different likes, interests and lifestyles. Being gay isn’t an aesthetic or a ‘lifestyle choice’. It’s not a fucking fairground performance, and we spent years fighting the idea that it was. It’s a state of being and a characteristic, like all other states of being and characteristics, that comes in all sorts of shapes, sizes and personalities. Just because we feel attraction differently, doesn’t change the fact we are men. #GayMen #MenAreAmazing #FightTheStereotypes

The test of acceptance for gay people should be: “I’m gay” “Yeah, who cares? 🤷‍♂️” Some gays want to be treated as special and have an entire month dedicated to them, as well as a flag over govt buildings. Ask why? It’s simple. You either want to be treated equally or different

🇵🇸 A mother in Gaza lost all 7 children in one strike. “I miss the word Mom. No one calls me Mom anymore.” She had 2 sons and 5 daughters. The oldest was 20, the youngest just 3. She was at the market when an Israeli strike hit the school shelter where her family was staying. And somehow, she calls herself lucky. Lucky because she found their bodies and got to bury them. She misses their voices, their shouting, their little faces. And the one word she'll never hear from them again. “Mom.” 💔 How much more can Gaza lose before the world finally says enough? The road to nowhere
DUP MP @carlalockhart has addressed thousands at a rally in Portadown this evening. “Profound consequences must mean profound consequences . Michelle O’Neill must go. That’s where I stand and this lady is not for turning.” Read more : bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c6eq…

Bryson’s tweets over the past 12hrs illustrate why the culture of unionism is failing. It doesn’t project confidence, security or pride of a culture comfortable in its own identity. Instead, it seems to have little to offer beyond provoking and taunting nationalism. Embarrassing

Bailey, can you explain the eyeball on his forehead? Thanks 😉
I walked in Portadown last night for a number of reasons. I speak only for myself. 1) To stand with my brothers, and the sisters from the many women’s lodges who joined us. 2) To stand for the rule of law. The decision to submit an 11/1 and follow the rules, despite our disagreement, was the correct one. I commend the organisers for that decision. 3) To show that while unionism may argue and bicker, when it matters we will stand together in unity. I’ve never experienced anything like last night. Unbeknownst to me, I was walking beside my father’s cousin. My father is no longer with us, and realising I was on parade with my actual family brought very strong feelings. This is a tradition that runs through generations of families. When I hear Mary Lou McDonald allow our culture to be degraded to “orange bastards,” I truly despair. It is not without its problems. Nothing in this world is perfect, and there is hard work being done by good people. The abuse of our culture, a culture passed down through generations, has gone on for far too long. Dehumanise us all you want. We will not lose our humanity. I want to commend the chaplain for his prayer on the night. That is who we are, and we must never forget his words.

💚 What a brilliant few weeks of the GAA, with football, hurling and camogie finals showcasing the talent, passion and pride that make Gaelic games so special. A huge go raibh maith agaibh to everyone who makes it happen - those who take to the field, coach, officiate, volunteer behind the scenes, and turn up week after week to support their club. Comhghairdeas to all the new county champions, and ádh mór as you progress to the next stage of your campaigns. To those who came close, keep the heads up. Your hard work and resilience will see you back again. The GAA is thriving across Ulster, and I’ll continue to do all I can to support its growth and development.

Carla Lockhart and the DUP need to face the facts: they no longer hold a veto over our democracy. Michelle O’Neill is First Minister because the people put her there. The days of ‘No nationalist need apply’ are over; the North has changed for good. There. Is. No. Going. Back.

Benjamin Moser, author of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History, told Rashid Khalidi that his 80-year-old mother, who had all but called him a Hamas member, apologized after reading his book: “I’m ashamed I ever said I was a Zionist.” His book traces Jewish opposition to Zionism over the past century and challenges their exclusion in discussions over Palestine. “No, you don’t get to set the rules anymore. We’re setting the rules now,” Moser said. Khalidi added that he had never seen so many people change their views so rapidly, noting that major publishers are now embracing books on Palestine that would have been virtually unpublishable just three or four years ago.
