This sounds incredible, I really hope we get to see it for ourselves at some point. The world building in Mass Effect is some of the best in gaming, it would be criminal to let that universe just disappear into nothing #SaveMassEffect
I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe. Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development. • Set 600+ years after the Reaper War • You play as a customizable N7 agent • Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond • Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending • A galaxy divided into three major factions • Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together • Council races forming their own alliance • The Geth emerging as a third superpower • A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary • Geth-built megastructures • Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda • Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference • Hacking and manipulating the environment • See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more • Handcrafted missions like ME1-3 • But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them • Brutal close-range executions • Squadmates who can clash with each other • Romance wasn't being sanitised • Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist. It looked incredible. And now we may never get to play it. Find out more here: youtu.be/ZOWrTNazZxM #SaveMassEffect

my immediate thought. I don't think any current studio other than @CDPROJEKTRED could give it the love it deserves
So, @CDPROJEKTRED , ever thought about buying the Mass Effect IP? Y'know, just a thought.

This really sucks, my favorite games were the Mass Effect franchise. I even really enjoyed Andromeda while most ppl didn't

i really enjoy the sound of this video. the constant shattering glass, almost like it carries a tune. the metal and rocks clanging down onto the ground and the hum and yells of the chaotic crowd. it has a peacefulness to it

my prediction is that AES blows out Rogers in a way that makes ppl (centrists) look silly about talking about his "electability", and then they'll say (lie) that they backed him all along
Michigan Senator 🚗 As of Oct. 7, 2026 Total mail votes: 248,621 (+125,055) 5.6% of projected final turnout. Estimated share of cast votes: 🔵 Abdul El-Sayed: 60.6–69.1% 🔴 Mike Rogers: 28.4–36.9% Mail votes are usually blue. VoteHub currently rates the race as Lean D.

This is about where I am thinking the final result will be, the polls on this race seem wrong in how close they are xitter.cf/IAPolls2022/status/210…
CNN: Abdul El-Sayed says he’ll win Michigan by 7 points. Leading state Democrats privately aren’t sure he’ll win at all — and Black and Jewish leaders say his campaign has told them he can make up the votes he loses in their communities elsewhere. edition.cnn.com/2026/10/07/p…

kind of tiring that our elected officials are just kind of like "you guys gotta figure this one out on your own!" Never any plan for action, just empty platitudes that puts the burden back on their constituents
Blumenthal: Donald Trump appears to be engaged in an active effort to suppress the vote and potentially interfere with the election. PabloReports: Is there anything Americans can do to stop it? Blumenthal: Well, yes. Americans need to make the vote so big it can’t be rigged.

judge me by my enemies
Benjamin Netanyahu mentions Hasan Piker when attacking Zohran Mamdani "It's no wonder you praise criminals convicted of supporting Hamas, you count as friends people like Hasan Piker"

https://xitter.cf/t.co/CwIyR1ZZU9 I think it's no longer a conspiracy theory and it is safe to infer that the anti-Hasan Piker media fixation has been in part directed from Tel Aviv. Wow, @hasanthehun is now a topic at the United Nations.

always fascinating seeing what new crazy thing conservatives get mad about
Xi JinPing refused to put his hand over his heart during the US National Anthem just now.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Yes. Because he's not American. law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/36…

May I present the "smear campaign making otherwise non voting anti-establishment leftists come out and vote because they think Hasan's based" theory
Turns out relentlessly attacking @hasanthehun isn't the winning strategy in Michigan!

maybe a bit doomer on my part, but I don't think Texas goes blue. I think this is another case of embarrassed trump voters not answering or lying on polls. i also feel this way about Florida sadly. I hope I am wrong though, would be incredible to see a texas/florida flip

Robert Kraft got 72 million dollars of taxpayer dollars to build Gillette Stadium and he calls it "his stadium" and he believes he has the right to dictate what can be said on the stage there. What a disgusting oligarchy we live in.
Macklemore says Robert Kraft — who owns Gillette Stadium, where Macklemore & Ed Sheeran were to perform later this month — called Sheeran. Kraft rallied other owners together behind an ultimatum for Sheeran: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you won't be allowed in our venues.

problem is hakeem jeffries thinks socialists campaigning for a democrat is worthy of condemnation but closed door dealings w trumps corrupt son in law is perfectly fine.
Jeffries defends his meeting with Kushner: "I'm of the view that if we're going to be committed to actually solving problems on behalf of the American people ... they're are gonna be times that you have to speak with people on the other side of the aisle. Even people you strongly disagree with."

it’s wild that the heritage foundation wrote in text that the assault on trans woman particularly in sports is their first step in their efforts to completely abolish all Title IX protections and liberals still don’t believe it’s about more than trans women in sports

demonizing the "other" is a core tenant of fascism, so by surrendering to fascists' negative framing (of trans ppl, immigrants, Muslims etc.) you just end up capitulating to them, gain zero votes, and probably lose a bunch more in the process. example: Kamala Harris
If you agree that electing Talarico would produce better outcomes for trans people, this reply is purely performative. You're just pissed that I'm saying something you probably understand intuitively: he shouldn't die on the trans/sports issue in fucking TEXAS of all states.
