Body reads, “It can feel a little daunting to create documents that are accessible to everyone, but there’s two things you should do in everything you write. 1. Use formatting tags, like headers, lists, and paragraph/body rather than just creating visual distinctions yourself. These metadata tags are vital for screen readers and other software to understand the document, and they can make the document easier to outline and scan. 2. I’ll write my ultimate goal for the audience, the main thing I want them to understand, then I’ll imagine where my audience is right now in relationship to that end point. What do they know? What do they believe? Then, I’ll create the main points for my text out of the stepping stones I need to get my audience to take from where they are to where I’d like them to be.
