🚨 THE YOUNG BLACK WOMAN BEHIND THE RECORD
I declared this week Dr Nasiphi Moya Week because I believe we must celebrate Black women who step into difficult spaces, take on responsibility, and get the work done.
Over the past two years, Nasiphi has carried the responsibility of leading Tshwane through a challenging political and financial environment.
This week, I want South Africans to look beyond the politics and focus on the record. This is about a Black woman who stepped forward, accepted responsibility, and served.
Let us celebrate her journey. Let us celebrate her work. Let us celebrate what is possible when capable Black women are given the opportunity to lead.

💚 FUNERAL SERVICE OF BUSI MWALE 💚 From all walks of life, the fragments of politics, what therefore unites us today? Busi brought all of us together as we all sing in celebration of a life lived.
💚 FUNERAL SERVICE OF BUSI MWALE 💚 It cuts deep in our hearts, beyond all this, a new life is determined. When the shadow of darkness surrounded us, we lost our strength, but we found our path to victory. In Busi we lift our heads, raise the flag.
💚 FUNERAL SERVICE OF BUSI MWALE 💚 Grasping at straws, grappling with the situation. Busi worked with the scraps she was given. And made miracles every day for her people. When the road got rough, she was never alone. With Snake Park she soldiered on. We appreciate you Leader

"Life does not always send a warning. The truth is, we are all standing in a line. A line we did not choose or see the end of. The strange thing is, most of us don't even realize we are in it. Waking up every morning thinking we have time"
💚 FUNERAL SERVICE OF BUSI MWALE 💚 We all wish we could hold, touch and talk to you. Be with you somehow.
We all know you are in a better place. Even though we can't see your face.
What we know, you are smiling down on us - SAYING EVERYTHING IS OKAY.
We gained an angel in you
💚 FUNERAL SERVICE OF BUSI MWALE 💚 The Regional Chair, Themba Mabunda, reminded the mourners about the type and kind leadership Busi bestowed to her community cos of their pain. Without water, she used her own resources to kill the thirst because the community led her.
💚 FUNERAL SERVICE OF BUSI MWALE 💚 We are IMAGING a Snake Park for the last time with LEADER BUSI MWALE last remains. She was an Actionaire 'til last breath. We soldiered on together for an INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT under the ActionSA banner.

... The rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it learned to walk without having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
