today marks 180 days since the launch of @MTSlive 6 months ago, we decided to assemble a terminally online team in san francisco, to monitor every major ai situation. we've made a lot of progress. new team members, new studio, 1,000+ guest appearances, etc as a team we stand in awe of the incredible progress of ai, which seems to be on an ever sharper exponential. we've faithfully chronicled moments like the oai-hf incident, pacing discourse, navier-stokes/open math problems, and increasingly feel like we are flying through the last days of the world we used to know 6 months in, we remain more inspired and optimistic than ever. we want to be the best place in the world to understand ai and bend the arrow of progress towards the good lightcone we want mts to be the intergalactic broadcast network where you see the future first. we want to get mts on falcon 9, capitol hill, roku, neuralink office, deepseek hq and every surface that matters. we want to talk about bci, agent swarms, frontier policy, defense, cryptography and every topic that spawns from the singularity there's a lot to do, and the stakes are high. as the team reflects on the past 6 months and plans for the next, we put together a timeline of ai progress. we hope this inspires everyone the same way it inspires us. it's rare to witness transformative, civilizational-scale change, and we are just getting started drops.mts.now/timeline

Love seeing an interpretation of branding and positioning in a 2x2. Like, this makes sense to me even if it doesn't.

A pretty funny bit: I go out, basically, every weekend in the lower Manhattan vicinity, surrounded by upwardly mobile young folks. There’s a really good OOH advertising opp where I start doing live ad reads mid-toast everytime I’m out. What’s the market value of this?

Taste cannot be solved by compute.
Techbrosphere has been declaring design dead for a while now. I want to ask for a follow up, geniunly: What does the world look like without designers?

After 600+ guests, Niklas Adalberth (@norrsken_org Founder, @Klarna Co-Founder) hit us with the best introduction we've ever had on ETN: "5000 years ago, I started Klarna...and I had the honourable, admirable, moral ambition to make myself as rich as possible." "We're very lucky with Klarna; the timing was right when e-commerce took off. So Klarna took off as well, and we became a unicorn. I became financially independent - $10 million in my bank account." "I decide to celebrate in Las Vegas...checked into this big penthouse suite...played some poker, ordered wines I couldn't pronounce." "Then back in that hotel room with the Gucci, Prada bags all over, and a real authentic Rolex instead of my fake one from China...instead of reaching nirvana, which I thought I would, I just got this feeling of complete emptiness and meaninglessness." "So I decided instead...why don't I try to do something more meaningful as a happiness hack? The most egoistic thing I could do, right?" "I decided to quit and instead devote my time and wealth to this Norrsken Foundation, which I started in 2016 with the idea to put the spotlight, capital, and networks behind entrepreneurs that are tackling real challenges."

On a recent episode of the Madvertising podcast, @kaleighf talks about how in an AI internet, more marketing is moving into a "zero click" world, something OOH advertisers / large brand builders already know well (and understand not everything needs to happen right away)

Some hard truths for you marketers: Brand building is slow, expensive, inefficient and expensive, and it's extremely hard to measure. Yes, all of that. But... ...it's the *only* way to create long-term value and long-term growth. Have a nice day.
