This is now my policy platform.
New energy is needed and youth is required to stave off the entropy of our sclerotic agriculture system.

⚡️A society becomes unstable when ownership stops being the reward for participating in the system and becomes the prerequisite for participating successfully at all.
That is where this is heading.
The next class divide will not simply be rich versus poor.
It will be between people whose balance sheets compound faster than life gets expensive and people whose incomes cannot.
That is a much more dangerous divide because time itself begins working for one side and against the other.
The American dream now costs $5.32 million, per a new Investopedia analysis.
But a full-time worker with a bachelor’s degree earns about $3.6 million over a career, from age 25 to 64.
Add 20 years of average Social Security, and it’s still only about $4.1 million.
That leaves the average college graduate roughly $1.2 million short, before paying a dollar in taxes.
It came to me as I was dumping soybeans at the elevator, just how much government money has skewed the ag economy.
The "prosperity" of the last 25 years is just government dollars flowing into equipment/bins/buildings/semis/land.
Take it away and the facade will crumble.
Cattle and land are too cheap.
I hate to admit I’m out of touch but I haven’t bought a new tractor since 2012. When I saw this one with 1400 hours for $170,000, I thought they were asking way too much. Then I priced new ones. A new tractor like this is just shy of $400,000. I couldn’t believe it. I paid $174,000 for a new ivt 8225R in 2012. The bigger row crop tractors are now closer to $600k!
My back has gotten tired of running a 4850 for baling and I sure would like to upgrade because we’ve grown the Colorado operation to over 1500 acres of mostly irrigated land and it’s requiring a lot of time in the seat, but things just don’t add up, even with $400/ton hay and $3.50 feeders, and I really don’t expect either to stay this high for much longer.
I keep hearing that cattle and land are too high, but when you look at costs in agricultural inputs, they certainly are not.
If you’re in the camp that land and cattle prices are crazy, welcome to the club of being 15 years out of touch with reality.

This was my thoughts when I read about this.
Absolutely incredible to hear a current sitting ruler of a modern country say these words.
@nayibbukele be assured and find comfort and strength in knowing that there are very likely millions of fellow believers who are supportive of your mission and praying for your success.
If God is for us, who can be against us?

the powers that be have turned corn into a weapon, it doesn't pay so they use subsidies to get you to grow it...a GMO manipulated frankenfood instead of healthy food, use it for fuel instead of in the food system while leaving the oil in the ground, it destroys soil fertility so we fight wars to replace the cow shit with petrochemicals......starvation through empty calories/bad health, shorten lifespans, depop. Corn has been weaponized.

Repentance for an older man looks like radical generosity with your time, your land, and your authority.
If you own three houses, sell one to your grandson on terms a bank would never offer.
If you have a corner lot behind the shop, let your son-in-law run his trade out of it for below market, or better yet, for free.
If you have twenty acres, divide it up and build houses for your daughters so your grandchildren grow up running across the same pasture.
Stop protecting your estate from the very people it was meant to bless.
Pour it out into living vessels.
This is a wild story!
There's currently some controversy in my own county about a couple of proposed 765Kv transmission lines.
Why does eminent domain never swallow the ground of politicians or corporate bigwigs?

The Prevent plant "top up" payments in 2019 were particularly black pilling.
Livestock guys were forced to mud in crops to attempt to grow feed, while the row crop only farms were incentivized to NOT plant.
Congress/lobbyists then decided they needed $$$.
Then 2020 happened.
Keep in mind that more guys would have tried planting in 2019 if the government hadn't dropped the bombshell Chinese corn supply number in the fall of 2018. Meaning this information was hanging over the market all winter, and to the clap back years later.

Is everyone forgetting about the great China corn revision?
You know the one where they revised 10 years of data and increased stocks when every analyst was claiming the corn in state reserves was out of condition and shouldn't have been counted.

Fascinating discussion, but the hand wringing & pearl clutching over whether this will distort the beef market is LAUGHABLE when you look to the massive distortions we already see on the crop program side.
Like what are we doing.......

They were ALWAYS going to shove money out before the election.
It's just the sad state of where we are culturally and politically.
The diesel excuse was simply a convenient way to cover the use of CCC funds without having to justify anything.

2. I thought it would be interesting to think about this estimate relative to the $8 billion in "diesel aid" just announced by the Trump admin. Let's use $10 per acre as the added diesel cost for corn and soybeans to keep things simple. We planted 183.7 million acres of corn and soybeans in 2026. Multipy that by $10 per acre and the result is $1.8 billion in additional cost in total for corn and soybean producers. So why is the diesel aid program $8 billion? Is this really a way to cover overall losses under the cover of "diesel aid?" Is the top line $8 billion figure some kind of upper bound? So many questions.
Thought experiment-
What if the $8 billion fuel payment was based on soil conservation?
Meaning it could only used to offset cover crop or forage establishment.
Cows need forage.
Could be incentivizing rebuilding the cowherd and accomplishing conservation goals.
@SecRollins
I’m a real farmer tonight because I’m on my horse (tractor) putting in cover crops (the cure to cow farts) at night (thank me for feeding the world). I’m positive I am more “actively engaged in farming” while I sit here in my 250 hp self driving Tesla scrolling instagram as opposed to sitting at my desk marketing grain, crop planning, or purchasing inputs.
I can’t do that anywhere that is warm or pleasant, though. No! I must be cold and or miserable. Only at my kitchen table of my four square farm house next to my red barns and free ranging cows and pigs. After I’ve milked the cows for the night, and under candlelight of course.
Going to have to add a few more acronyms to this meme.
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
This is the type of policy that is both counterproductive & nonsensical.
Do we want young people involved or not?
Do we want to rebuild the cowherd or not?
I get labeled as "hating boomers" when I simply want to stop enabling bad policies that give row crops one more advantage

I'm confused Sec Rollins, I'm suppose to rebuild the cowherd while cattle get negative comments that make markets drop sharply and the crop farmers get free money? Seems as though you want me to plant corn/beans in my pasture/hay ground.
Honored to join @POTUS in Kansas today as he announced $8 BILLION in Harvest Fuel Relief to help American farmers facing higher diesel costs and market disruptions.
President Trump hears our farmers — and he is taking action:
➡️ 20 new trade deals and frameworks opening markets for American agriculture.
➡️ Year-round E15 expanding opportunities for American-grown fuel.
➡️ More domestic fertilizer production, including a farmer-owned facility right here in Kansas.
➡️ A stronger farm safety net to help preserve family farms for the next generation.
Our farmers aren’t just growing crops. They’re carrying forward a way of life built on faith, family, hard work, and freedom.
That legacy is worth fighting for. Under President Trump, @USDA will ALWAYS have their backs.
God bless Kansas and the farmers and ranchers who keep America strong!
