A common mistake I’ve noticed in AI products is the absence of opinionated design. Just because LLMs can “do everything,” it doesn’t mean your UI should greet people with a blank prompt box and infinite possibilities. Ghost text and preset prompt buttons aren’t enough - they’re signage, not design. Opinionated design lowers cognitive load while still letting users feel the model’s versatility. Don’t ship a blank canvas. Craft an experience with thoughtful flows, clear affordances and an obvious first step. Which products are nailing this today? I’m collecting examples.
