Elon hat sich mit den Geschehnissen und Äußerungen in den letzten Tagen heftig in die Nesseln gesetzt, die weitreichende Konsequenzen haben könnten. „Der Ständige Untersuchungsausschuss (des US Senats) leitet eine Untersuchung zu den Beziehungen der US-Regierung zur Technologie von SpaceX – einschließlich der Satellitendienste von Starlink sowie Starshield – und deren Nutzung durch die Regierung ein.“ Klingt harmlos, ist es aber nicht. Die Limitierungen von Starlink/Starshield in UA sind zwar der Auslöser für Untersuchungen sowohl durch den Senat als auch durch das House, aber hier geht es aus US Sicht um etwas viel Grösseres und Entscheidenderes: War es in irgend einer Form möglich, dass eine Privatperson / privates Unternehmen selbst-entscheidend maßgeblich in die Nationalen Sicherheitsinteressen des USA oder ihre Außenpolitik einzugreifen? Wenn es eine Sache gibt, wo US Senat und Congress überhaupt keinen Spaß verstehen, dann ist es genau das. Und zwar über alle politischen Lager hinweg. Die Demokraten mögen da aktuell zwar lauter sein als die Republikaner, das liegt aber daran, daß wir 10 Tage vor einer entscheidenden Wahl stehen, und dass die meisten Abgeordneten und Senatoren sich in ihren Wahlkreisen im Wahlkampf befinden. Und daß die Republikaner aktuell kein Interesse daran haben, daß das Thema öffentlich zu weit hoch kocht, weil es natürlich auch die Trump Admin betrifft, und ein möglicher Nationaler Sicherheitsskandal das Letzte ist, was sie jetzt gerade noch gebrauchen können. Spannend wird es nach der Wahl, und zwar völlig unabhängig davon, wer die Mehrheit in House und Senat erlangt. Die meisten Congress Abgeordneten hatten bisher nicht die Zeit, sich aufgrund ihres vollen Wahlkampfkalenders mit dem Thema auseinanderzusetzen. Wenn nach der Wahl aber die Brisanz des Themas durchdringt, könnte das sehr ungemütlich für Musk, Space X und die Trump Admin werden. Ich gehe weiterhin davon aus, daß die Entscheidung letztlich aus dem Pentagon und WH kam. Die Äußerungen von Elon in den letzten Tagen lassen daran aber zweifeln. Die Trump Admin hat zwar das Recht solche Entscheidungen grundsätzlich eigenständig zu fällen, sie ist aber auch verpflichtet den US Congress, zumindest bestimmte Gremien, über solche Entscheidungen im Vorfeld zu informieren. Sowohl die UA Regierung, als auch die entscheidenden Stellen des US Congress und Senat wussten davon laut eigenen Aussagen aber nichts, und Trump tut so, als hätte er davon ebenfalls nichts gewusst. — Hier wird es jetzt spannend. Wenn man genau hinsieht, deckt Musk offensichtlich aktuell Trump bei dem ganzen Thema. Durch seine ungeschickten öffentlichen Aussagen, die mehr Zweifel als Aufklärung in der Sache aufkommen lassen, wie es zu den Einschränkungen von Starlink /Starshield in UA kommen konnte, und wer dafür verantwortlich ist, gepaart von öffentlichen politischen emotionalen Meltdowns auf X, tut er sich keinen gefallen. Auch Aktionäre von Space X und andere Stake-Holder wie staatliche Kunden, insbesondere aus Europa und Asien haben da ein genaues Auge drauf. Warum verhält sich Elon so? Laut aktuellen Zahlen hat er mehr als $442 Mio. in den aktuellen Wahlkampf der Reps in den USA investiert. Insb. in den Wahlkampf eines Rep. Kandidaten für den US Senat aus Texas. Das Rennen ist knapp. Für Musk und Space X hängt viel davon ab. Hier geht es um Expansion, Neu-Bau, Raketen Startgenehmigungen, Umweltauflagen, Freigabe von Gebieten als Bauland usw. Wenn die Wahl entschieden ist, wird sich vieles ändern. Dann werden Musk und Trump gegenseitig mit dem Finger aufeinander zeigen, und jeder seine eigenen Interessen vertreten, die dann nicht mehr gleich liegen. Sollte bei der Untersuchung herauskommen, dass Elon eigenständig gehandelt hat, dann wird er die volle Härte des US Congress zu spüren bekommen. Dann ist Schluss mit lustig. Wenn es in den USA um nationale Sicherheitsinteressen geht, hört der Spaß definitiv auf.

He also said, “You’re one of us. You should feel proud.” That’s their seduction tactic. Not facts. Not logic. Just subtle tribal grooming. “You’re white. You drink. You belong.” It was almost sweet, in a sad, culty way. Like a Jehovah’s Witness trying to sell you eternal life with a shaky brochure and cheap suit. But let’s talk about the whole ecosystem. The truth. MAGA men? Most are not warriors. They’re out-of-shape, insecure, jealous small-town boys who peaked in high school, still clinging to stories from when they “almost went pro” or “should’ve been in the military.” They’re proud of being able to drink a case of light beer, drive a truck, and scream about freedom while their knees buckle from sugar and rage. They’re easy to manipulate because they don’t ask questions. They don’t read. They react. They memorize memes like scripture and repeat them like gospel. They think being loud equals being right. They think the world is laughing with them. It’s not. The world’s laughing at them, when it’s not just ignoring them entirely. MAGA women? They’re caught in a brutal paradox, constantly screaming about how proud and strong they are, while reshaping every inch of their body to meet a fake beauty standard pushed by the very system they claim to hate. The recent Starlink / Starshield incident in Ukraine has created a dangerous precedence for the US export industry, many haven't yet grasped. The sudden deactivation respectively curtailing of those systems without warning not only cost precious lives, but also equipment worth millions. Though the blame game between the White House (Trump) and SpaceX (Musk) is going on, ultimately it doesn't matter. It showed the world that the USA are not a reliable partner any more. Pointing at some obscure "violation of terms of services" without providing the exact passage are just increasing that notion that this was a political move. The explanation that Starlink must not be used for "offensive" means is nonsense, too. Starlink has never been turned on over Russia, and using it in Ukraine is by definition defensive in nature. You can even argue that hitting Russian targets in Russia is defensive, since you don't have to wait for an attack to be conducted. Even the intention is enough to warrant action and to eliminate the threat at the source. But this is a different topic. Furthermore, SpaceX has been fully aware that its Starlink terminals are being used by Ukrainian forces. Especially when considering that Ukraine only recently had to white-list their Starlink terminals for the Ukrainian military so that Russian forces, who have been abundantly using Starlink as well, were locked out. It has always been clear that those Starlink terminals are used for and by the Ukrainian military, and Ukraine has always been thankful for that. Coming up with this bogus story, now, three weeks before midterms is therefore as transparent as it is shameless. It is obvious for everyone that this was just figleaf statement so that a political agenda can be pushed, an agenda which runs counter to the strategic nationalist interests of the USA, both political and economic. And this is the real scandal. It is not new that the US had to lock out its technology or supplies to nations with which it had previously good and even cordial relation. Iran under the Shah, South-Vietnam and Cuba before Castro are just three to name it. But as you can see from them, it made perfectly sense back then. Those nations switched sides or disappeared altogether. Ukraine on the other hand didn't switch sides and even helped the US in the most recent and botched Iran war, despite being short on ammunition itself. The Ukrainian government accepted every possible compromise and offered an unconditional ceasefire from the start. Russia on the hand refused all of it and is demanding surrender. Yet, it gets this treatment? Unbelievable. This will be noted by all clients around the globe who purchase US weapons and technology. If agreements are not honored and can unilaterally and even clandestinely be altered based on the whims of a few, who only follow their own motives or election lies, then the all concept reliability falls apart. Whether it is Starlink, the F-35, Tomahawk missiles or HIMARS. All those systems run on software and in many cases can only properly operate with recent updates. You don't even need have a kill switch. You can only refuse to update and many of those systems lose more than 90% of their effectiveness within a short period, making worthless. This is why we see the blame game between Musk and Trump. I'm sure that people around those guys told them how absolutely shortsighted and stupid this step was. It will fall back on the entire US industry. Not even those two guys are worth that losses and backlash. A functional US Congress would immediately start subpoenas and hearings, asking questions in order to mitigate the damage, but here we are. Trump and Musk have given the best reason why not to buy American. Customers - governmental and private alike - around the globe will take note of this and act accordingly, and I wouldn't be surprised if this won't be limited to US military products only. An absolutely senseless and avoidable own goal.

Oil infrastructure can be repaired. Markets can recover. Military equipment can eventually be replaced. But restoring the credibility of a military power whose weaknesses have been exposed is a different challenge altogether. Budanov’s final words leave little doubt about Ukraine’s determination to continue applying pressure. “We are not stopping.” For Budanov, the lasting consequence of Russia’s invasion may be the damage Moscow has inflicted on its own image of invincibility.

And there is your proof. 82% of Democrats support Ukraine over Russia. So do 52% of Republicans and even 50% of MAGA supporters. Support for Russia? A miserable 1%, 4% and 5%, respectively. Trump, Hegseth and JD Vance do not represent the American people on this issue. They represent their own interests. They represent themselves, their egos and a peculiar little faction that seems determined to mistake loyalty to Putin for patriotism. The most remarkable thing about these figures is that even MAGA voters are ten times more likely to support Ukraine than Russia. America has not become pro-Russian. Its leadership has simply become spectacularly unrepresentative of the country it claims to speak for.

This happened in Alaska. Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, stepped down after finding out that the Russian "Novatek" company, which is under US sanctions, has been involved in a $25 billion energy project in Alaska. The CEO thought that he was working with Gentry Beach, a close friend of Donald Trump Junior. Reportedly, that project was also discussed between Witkoff and Jared Kushner when they were with Putin. The White House admitted that the project was talked about "briefly". We are witnessing the greatest corruption scandal the USA has ever witnessed. It all leads to Trump, his family and the Russians, and apparently they were even ready to sell riches of Alaska to the Russians. The people in Alaska just need to look over to Russia, where the richest regions in terms of minerals and hydrocarbon resources have been stripped-mined, transferring all the wealth to Moscow and Saint Petersburg and leaving a scarred landscape in extreme poverty. That is the result of rampant corruption. We are starting to see more details why Trump and his friends are trying so strongly to bully Ukraine into surrender. This is most certainly only the tip of the iceberg.
