This is a Speaker Carl Heastie appreciation post. Carl and DACC did everything possible to support the election of the two newest Orthodox Jewish members of @NYSA_Majority @JoeyCSaban + @PesachOsina. Yes the Jewish communities turned out in record numbers for these DEMS but Carl went above and beyond. ๐Ÿ™

Governor @KathyHochul is sweeping the organized Jewish community. Why? 1. She has been unequivocally supportive of yeshivas. 2. She passed the buffer-zone bill protecting schools and shuls. 3. She stands with Israel. 4. She genuinely likes Jews. 5. We like her back.

Your questions are based on bizarre myths: 1. This new development is privately funded. 2. They are NOT actively keeping anyone out. They are simply marketing to communities that would want to live there, which makes sense. 3. Girls do not receive an inferior education to boys.

America is not a Catholic country. It's not an "any religion" country. But if it were one religion, it would be Protestant, not Catholic. You're being silly. The extremists on the right hate you as much as anyone else.
