Trump has no legal authority to tariff American allies to bully them into backing his brainless attempt to seize Greenland. This is against the law, it’s a total disaster for America, and Republicans in Congress and the Supreme Court need to find their spines and stop it.
Trump says on Feb 1 he will impose a 10% tariff “on any and all goods sent” to US from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, & Finland, increasing to 25% June 1 “until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.”

The Trump 🇺🇸 new tariffs is a crystal clear violation of the 🇪🇺🇺🇸 and 🇬🇧🇺🇸 trade agreements. If this goes into force the 🇪🇺 reaction must be as clear. To play soft is hardly an option.

Trump is raising tariffs on 8 NATO allies because they rightly support Denmark's sovereignty in Greenland. Destroying our closest alliances to take Greenland — which Denmark lets us use freely already — is insane. Congress must say NO.

Every insult, threat, tariff and lie that we receive strengthens our resolve. The answer from Denmark and Greenland is final: We will never hand over Greenland. We pray that our true allies will stand with us because we are going to need it.

Trump and Vance have declared themselves to be on Russia's side in the Russo-Ukraine war.  This is a catastrophic mistake for America's national security.  And let's be clear:  Trump and Vance now personally own that policy.  It is not the view of a majority of Americans of either or no political party.

#dkpol politiken.dk/danmark/politik…

Since the media refuses to report on it, let me share what happens at a typical Trump speech: 1. He comes out to the playing of the “January 6 Anthem” song which he recorded with some of the most dangerous J6 rioters in jail. 2. He brags how his song with the J6 rioters gets more downloads than Taylor Swift (it does not) 3. He spends a few minutes talking about passing cognitive exams, and how the audience would not pass the exam, but because he is really smart (he is not) he is able to ace the exam. 4. He praises Viktor Orban, the leader of Hungary, who Trump says is the most respected leader in Europe (he is not). 5. He praises President Xi and says he is very strong and rules over 1 billion people with an iron fist and Hollywood couldn’t find an actor as tough as President Xi. 6. He praises Putin and says people say it’s a bad thing he gets along with Putin but he thinks it’s a good thing. 7. He makes weird noises reenacting lifting weights with a trans woman and he says “mommy I can’t do it. Mommy. Ughhh, uhh, mommy help me.” 8. He says he doesn’t like seeing President Biden at the beach and says he has a better body than Biden (he does not) 9. He talks about his hatred of windmills and his hatred of electric cars. He says he would rather be electrocuted than eaten by sharks however. 10. He praises the J6 insurrectionists and calls them hostages. 11. He whines about his court cases, attacks prosecutors, judges, and witnesses, and then praises “the great Alphonse Capone” and brags he was indicted more than Capone. 12. He quotes Hitler and says immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country. 13. He says he wants to be a dictator on day 1. 14. He plays QAnon music, audience members often make QAnon sign with their hands, and he talks about how America is a failing nation. 15. He does a weird dance and leaves.

Arabs in Israel were asked to choose which identity is most important to them: Arab, Palestinian, Israeli, or religious (Muslim/Christian/etc). For the first time, Israeli identity came out first - the most important identity (33.2%). It went up from 21% (May 2023). Last came Palestinian Identity with only 8.2%, half of what it was only 6 months ago (16.5%). Religious identity went up to 22.6% (up from 15.6% in May), and Arab identity went down from 37.5% in May to 32.1% today). Survey conducted by the by Tel-Aviv Unviersity, part of the Konrad Adenauer Program for Israeli-Arab Cooperation. h/t: @Nadav_Eyal
