Well, and that's how I run my business. If I can't pay someone a living wage, I'll do it myself.

Why is the 'stay-at-home girlfriend' trend dividing people on TikTok? We speak to digi culture commentator @hgvandepeer and @AlexandreHolder author of Open Up: Why Talking About Money Will Change Your Life
I was on @BBCWomansHour talking about the #stayathomegirlfriend trend. We discussed how female autonomy comes in many forms, how culture often values women in relation to the men they date. And importantly how the gender pay gap rose in the UK last year. bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001d5f…

I understand that many people wish to mourn, but the mass cancellation of events means a sudden loss of income for many people who are low paid and in insecure work, during a massive social crisis which has not gone away.
As a minimum, there has to be a compensation scheme.

More importantly, #JusticeForChrisKaba — a 24-year-old Black man and expecting father, who was shot and killed by the Met Police earlier this week. He was unarmed.

This just floored me. Heart breaking and full of love ❤️
I’ve been thinking about this piece for a year. There’s so much more I could say. The only thing that matters is that Martha should be alive today…

Today, when I was walking with my 18 yr old son we talked about the concept that, ‘one day I carried him for the last time’. That idea you put a young child down & never pick them up again. We decided that was unacceptable so I gave him a piggy back for 20 yds.

Dear @Telegraph - just stop this hate. I am not on anywhere near £142k. But given all my training and the intensity of my workload I could command it as a GP in the private sectors or overseas. I choose to work in the NHS, SEEING pts through the whole pandemic. Perhaps I’m a mug.

5 years ago 72 people died because they were trapped in a government mandated death trap. 5 years later and we can’t forget their names. We must continue to fight for justice for them and their families. 💚💚✊🏾 #Justice4Grenfell

They found the cause of SIDS
THEY FOUND THE CAUSE OF SIDS
Excuse me while I cry for all the parents, including lead researcher Dr Carmel Harrington, who lived with guilt. And cry happy tears for parents in the future who will have access to screening and prevention. 😭
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
It is misleading to say that we have found the cause of SIDS; one study has identified an enzyme that might be a potential biomarker for SIDS vulnerability (correlation not causation). The correlation is statistically significant but relatively weak.

Just heard on the radio 'I don't think we'll ever see the Queen in a wheelchair' she wouldn't give in. Can we all (including the media) stop this idea that using a wheelchair is giving in or so awful that we couldn't possibly see a 95 year old use one if she needed.
