Today is one of my favorite parts of the convention process. The Temporary Platform, Legislative Priorities, and Rules Committees begin meeting to debate the ideas and principles that will help shape the future of our Party and our state. Every proposal before these committees started somewhere in Texas - at a precinct convention, a county convention, or around a table where grassroots Republicans decided they wanted to make a difference. Now, delegates representing all 254 counties have the opportunity to evaluate those ideas and determine which ones should advance to the convention floor and ultimately help guide our legislative agenda. THIS is what grassroots leadership looks like. The Republican Party of Texas is not built from the top down. It is built from the bottom up - by volunteers, activists, precinct chairs, county leaders, and delegates who care enough to get involved. Many of the conservative victories we celebrate today began exactly where these meetings begin: with grassroots Republicans willing to stand up and fight for what they believe. Thank you to every committee member donating your time, energy, and expertise this week. Your work matters, and the future of Texas will be stronger because of it.

Texans, tomorrow the real work begins on shaping the future of our state.  As Temporary Committees convene ahead of the 2026 Republican Party of Texas State Convention, I want to personally thank every committee member who has volunteered their time, energy, and expertise to serve our Party and our grassroots. These committees will help shape the platform, priorities, rules, and direction that guide Republicans into the 90th Texas Legislative Session and beyond.   The work ahead is important. Committee members will spend long hours reviewing proposals, debating ideas, and considering the issues that matter most to Texas Republicans. Their efforts help ensure our Party remains rooted in conservative principles while protecting the individual rights and freedoms that make Texas exceptional. Please join me in praying for these committee members and their leadership teams. Pray for wisdom, discernment, unity, and a commitment to doing what is best for Texas and the future of our Party. Thank you to each volunteer who has answered the call to serve. Your dedication strengthens our Party and helps keep Texas the conservative leader of America.

The Rowlett Republican Men’s Club has built a strong reputation for educating conservatives, developing grassroots leaders, strengthening precinct organizations, and helping elect Republicans at every level of government. Those are the same principles that have guided my work as Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. Over the last two years, we have expanded our grassroots operation, strengthened county parties, won key elections, and continued advancing conservative priorities across Texas.
