You only need to care for one child who dies or survives with life changing injuries from secondary sepsis after chicken pox to be absolutely overjoyed at this news. It’s a vaccine I’ve recommended for friends & family since it became available but has been expensive until now 🥲
Babies born from this month onwards will now be offered the chickenpox vaccine, which is being added to the HSE immunisation scheme rte.ie/news/2024/1002/147309…

These amazing women. Two of the four still have day jobs, putting a tiny country head-to-head in the mix with the most professionally funded in the sport. 3:19.90 - would’ve won silver every year but 1988 and 2024. My five year-old asking me why my eyes are wet. It’s for pride.

Private jet? Limo? How would you travel home if you’d just won Olympic gold?!
Rowing champs Paul O’Donovan & Fintan McCarthy landed @DublinAirport today & planned to get the bus to Cork.
Then the guy they’d sat next to on the plane offered them - & their gold medals - a lift..

Impressive from Rhasidat Adeleke in winning her 400m heat
She had the luxury of glancing around and sensing she had a notable lead, she slows down considerably in the final 50m to cross the line in 50.09. That had the look of a sub-49 second lap if she so wanted.
