Over the last 10 years, why did energy companies pour billions worth of investments into unstable countries, while pulling out of Canada?

Four Canadian soldiers tragically lost their lives while serving our country at CFB Wainwright.
Pte. Shaun Farrell, Pte. Aidan Goulding, Sgt. Morgan Wong and Pte. Hayden Lykkemark answered the call to serve Canada. Canada mourns their loss.
My deepest condolences to their families, friends, and fellow soldiers. My prayers are also with those injured fighting to make a full recovery, and all their loved ones.
We will remember their service, honour their sacrifice and stand with the entire Canadian Armed Forces family in this time of grieving.

Shame on Mark Carney for forcing struggling single moms and small business owners in Canada to pay taxes for foreign aid to a place controlled by a terrorist dictatorship that refuses elections.
Cut foreign aid. Put Canadians first for once.
Carney claimed he had special skills no one else had. He knew who Trump was when he made that promise.
Hire him, he’d get a deal and manage the economy well. That was his pitch.
The results? More and higher tariffs and massive job losses.
Trump is tough to deal with. But Mark Carney should have known that when he made a promise in the election to get a good deal with the U.S.
He made the promise. He broke that promise.
U.S. tariffs have more than doubled and broadened on Canadian business since Carney took office promising he could “handle Trump." Everything is worse. Canadians can’t eat speeches or pay rent with his political theatrics.
It is time for results.
