Goodbye Twitter
It was fun … for a while

Main character syndrome is a serious problem when it comes to Michael Oliver.
Interesting to see that (some) Man City fans have pivoted very quickly from “We’re innocent. It’s a conspiracy. Show me the evidence.” to “The rules aren’t fair. How else were we supposed to compete?” … :)

🇸🇲 SAN MARINO WIN A GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 20+ YEARS & A COMPETITIVE MATCH FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!
History is made as the worst team in the FIFA rankings (210th) finally end the longest winless run in international football history (140 games dating back to April 2004)!!!

My genuine joy at us being in the final only tempered by Gary Neville now giving major credit to Gareth Southgate who, frankly, has bumbled through this tournament with a terrific squad that he has hopelessly mismanaged.
Apparently Southgate deserves credit for his substitutions … I mean bringing on a striker who can actually RUN is a very bold move. Alternatively … why did he not start Watkins???
Innovative ‘false 9’ formation from England tonight. I mean they have a real #9 on the pitch but he prefers to hang around the halfway line instead of the penalty box #playingwith10men

No Englishman has had a bigger impact on this tournament than Michael Oliver. At last we have somebody who can sit in the middle of the park and dictate the game. Proud. 🏴
Bernardo Silva is the best Portuguese player to play in the Premier League. He small, not especially fast but his technique and football IQ is off the charts! BTW I rate Ronaldo but his best years were at Real Madrid
Nice guy. Completely out of his depth! How can he complain about midfield when he has options previous @England managers would have given their left arm for. And what does he want - another 7 or 8 years to find the solution???

Replying to @RealTalkMCFC
So you guys went from: «we have evidence we are not guilty» to «we need to change the rules its not fair». Everything looks good lads
I realise it’s easy to be an armchair manager but Southgate has a RB playing on the left because he hasn’t picked a LB. Then he has another RB playing in midfield because he doesn’t trust him to defend. Finally he has a CB playing at RB because … well why not ???
In the unlikely event that @England win the Euros I will eat my hat. What a waste of generational talent :(

Hedy Lamarr was a Hollywood actress in the 1940s and 1950s, and she was considered "the most beautiful woman in the world" during her time.
She began her acting career in Austria and became notorious for being the first woman to simulate an orgasm on screen in 1933.
During this time, she also married Friedrich Mandl, a Vienna-based arms dealer with ties to Mussolini and later Hitler.
The marriage did not last long. In her own words, she wrote, "I knew very soon that I could never be an actress while I was his wife... He was the absolute monarch in his marriage... I was like a doll. I was like a thing, some object of art which had to be guarded and imprisoned, having no mind, no life of its own."
According to her autobiography, she disguised herself as one of the maids and managed to flee to Paris. Others say she convinced her husband to wear all of her jewelry for a dinner party and then disappeared afterwards.
She eventually booked a liner to New York, where she met the head of MGM, who was impressed enough to offer her a $500-a-week contract to work as an actress. In 1938, she arrived in Hollywood and went on to star in several movies, working with the likes of Clark Gable and James Stewart.
Beyond her acting career, Lamarr was also a scientist and co-patented spread-spectrum technology during World War II to prevent the Nazis from jamming navy torpedoes. However, her invention was rejected and wouldn't be implemented until the Cold War in 1962. The technology would eventually be used in developing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology.
@TheAthletic thanks for adding friction to my experience of using your service. Very slow responses from your server make this extremely painful. Goodbye.

To be fair, you have to take your hat off to City.
They've become the dominant force in English football and all it took was completely ignoring the league's financial rules for a decade.
