Hegseth told Trump the Iran War would be over in 2 weeks. He got overconfident after Venezuela.
There is a reason Netanyahu/Israel tried to get every President since Clinton to attack Iran.
The only one took the bait was Trump.
🇺🇸🇮🇷 Everyone’s blaming Pete Hegseth. But the man most responsible isn’t even a household name.
Meet Admiral Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander and the ACTUAL architect of the Iran war.
He wrote the war plan. He oversaw the strategy. He directed day-to-day operations.
The failure to keep the Strait of Hormuz open was his job, and it didn’t make his list of objectives.
While oil hit $110 a barrel, Cooper went on camera:
“The Strait of Hormuz is controlled by the United States and our regional partners, not Iran, and it remains open for business.”
His George W. Bush “Mission Accomplished” moment. Except Bush was a politician. Cooper is a uniformed officer.
This week, as the country voted against his war, CENTCOM launched a podcast...
Cooper talked about his workout routine, french fries, and basketball. Asked about Operation Epic Fury, he said he “just couldn’t be prouder.”
Cooper sleeps like a baby. Most Americans couldn’t pick him out of a lineup. That’s exactly how the Pentagon brass likes it.

Beyond any substantive critique, crossing party lines to denounce the guy that beat you in your primary and endorse the candidate you called a dangerous MAGA shill just two days before the election seems incompetent (at best).

Particularly the ones trying to convince folks to vote for MAGA Republicans instead of voting Libertarian and demonstrating to the GOP what happens when you promise "no wars and DOGE cuts" and you get a War in Iran, increased spending and corruption, and high gas prices.
The Republican Party has never really stood by the message of small government, it is why the @LPNational exists today. A group of principled individuals pushed back against Nixon and his lies and the spending in DC and decided to chart a new course.
If Republicans want libertarian votes, they need to actually govern with libertarian principles. Otherwise, principled voters will stay away.
Even with all the challenges and headwinds, and setbacks, the Libertarian Party has sustained and I am a proud lifetime member.
Vote Libertarian on Tuesday and help build the party each day after until we have more viable options on our ballots across the nation.
