One of the hardest pills to swallow as I’ve gotten older is that I can’t possibly keep up with everyone I’ve met, so it’s fair to assume they can’t possibly keep up with me. It often feels like I’m trying to win a bunch of little battles to keep up with people, but I end up burning the candle on both ends and feel really sad when someone I used to speak to often suddenly stops responding. Also I know that a lot of people are on edge especially in Vtubing and feel like they’re being reached out to for social favors or otherwise inconsequential conversations, but I think that’s pretty normal when making friends so I feel like everything is just so flipped on its head in this field. I often end up losing out on a few beautiful relationships because I want to meet and keep up with so many cool people and overthink everything I do and I want to stop doing that as much 🥺
