Texas about to have a more economically populist governor than California should make everyone rethink their entire theories of the politics of red states and blue states

You can see photos of flood damage and read the numbers in a report. It is different to stand with families and local officials and see what recovery actually looks like for them.
On Thursday, @SenatorBennet, @SenatorHick, and I visited Conejos and Rio Grande counties, including stops in Guadalupe and South Fork, to see the damage firsthand and hear directly from the people dealing with it.
Homes, roads, farms, and local infrastructure have all been hit. We’re working together to support Colorado’s request for federal disaster assistance, push for a quick federal response, and make sure the needs of these communities are reflected as damage assessments continue.
Thanks to Denver7 for coming along and telling their stories.

DANGER: Corporate Democrats want their power back.
@SenSchumer
@RepJeffries
@KamalaHarris
The leadership that helped pave the way for Trump by defending the status quo and offering little beyond “Republicans are worse.”
They fought progressives harder than they fought corporate power.
And now they want to lead us again.
Tell them NO!

Israel has brainwashed you into believing that Palestine with zero fighter jets, zero helicopters, zero tanks, and zero soldiers are oppressing a nuclear superpower with 75-400 nuclear warheads, over 340 fighter jets, 130 helicopters, 1,500 tanks, and 650,000 soldiers.
Stop calling it a war. Israel is not fighting an army; it is fighting defenseless civilians—women, children, and elderly. Call it what it is: GENOCIDE

We cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that there are children who do not go to school. We cannot silence our conscience when we see a mother lacking the means to feed her children. We cannot ignore the many people around us who are suffering, alone and vulnerable. We need to commit ourselves to the charity and closeness of the Good Samaritan who did not remain indifferent upon seeing misfortune, but took responsibility for his brother’s life. Jennifer Welch: “Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, we have to do everything in our power to remind the New Dems: you were elected and we want you to vote these people out of leadership positions. You can either be the Democrat that voted to Neville Chamberlain, to Merrick Garland it and be an appeaser and voted for these two losers that can’t stand up to their donors or you said I’m a New Dem, I saw the mandate, and I voted to oust these compromised leaders and end the era of prostitution politics”

Tim Snyder on billionaires leaving the US if taxed: "If they're not paying taxes anyway, it doesn't matter, right? Let them go plague some other country... if they're not going to pay taxes here, let them not pay taxes somewhere else, because it is actually no loss."

Fuck Schumer, Jeffries and every sell-out Democrat that supports those two pieces of shit. We are taking names. We won't forget.
PSA: You don’t get to refuse to support Zohran and actively oppose Abdul and take money from AIPAC and oppose Medicare for All and be chicken shit about abolishing ICE… then turn around and act shocked that people don’t see you as leadership material. @SenSchumer @RepJeffries

👀 Chris Van Hollen says at #CrookedCon that Democrats should be open to a government shutdown after funding runs out on Dec. 11
“Democrats should not vote for any appropriation bills that has any money in it for the illegal war in Iran.”
“If [Trump] wants to shut down the United States government to keep this war going, that is his choice, and he’ll have to explain it to the American people”

We shouldn't be debating whether hungry kids "deserve" school lunch.
We should be asking why a child in any community lacks access to fresh food in the first place.

virtually every democrat regardless of faction ran against the establishment, if they do not deliver tangible & immediate changes inside the party like appointing dynamic leaders that will echo the fighting spirit the moment requires, we will lose the momentum - voters will see this as a betrayal. no amount of msm narratives around schumer's tactical prowess will change this. there's a reason why both hakeem & chuck are unpopular among dem voters. we didn't forget how they maneuvered around the last two years.
we also have to destroy the seniority structure in the party & appoint competent people to the right committees!! zohran proved that a young dynamic figure can reshape the entire political landscape! i am very worried that "insider politics" and corporate focused leadership decisions is going to take us back to business as usual politics when we voted for CHANGE. we voted for a FIGHT. we voted for ACCOUNTABILITY.

Kyle Kulinski: “The only way you can guarantee the Republican Party stays a permanent minority is to actually deliver for the people. That means democratic socialism or social democracy. That means Medicare for All, free college, no more medical debt, a living wage, unions for all, taxing the rich, ending these wars, stop sending money to genocidal terror states like Israel”

I’m perfectly fine with my child-free taxes contributing to your children’s education, meals, and healthcare. I’m also happy to help fund your mother’s cancer treatment and your cousin’s insulin. That’s what a functioning society should look like. You’re welcome.

NEW: 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 Senator Abdul El-Sayed has just refused to back Chuck “I will fight for Israel” Schumer to lead of the Democratic party.
The fight now begins between the America First democrats and the Israel First democrats.
We saw what happened to the Republican Party for choosing Israel First.
Clever, clever genius…
So, basically what you are saying is we simply need to find people in New York and people in Brooklyn to file a primary challenge against Schumer and Jeffries in 2028.
But, why stop there, why not encourage people to file primary challenges against Democratic House and Senate lawmakers who are supporting Schumer and Jeffries?
Not the new people. They are already being sacrificed. Just the those same incumbents who tried to force feed Americans a second Joe Biden term and who apparrently learned nothing from their Kamala’s coronation.
I would think that if there over a million people willing to sign a petition and over 500 people willing to call their representative every single day… then convincing 1500 pissed off voters to fill out paperwork to be potential primary challenger in an election that is two years out… should not be that difficult.

Dems don't need an alternative to block Jeffries as Speaker. No one will come forward until Jeffries is seen as beatable.
Gaetz beat McCarthy by blocking his speakership multiple times. When it was clear McCarthy had no path, Mike Johnson showed up as new consensus pick.
