32 minutes with AI vs. an estimated several months to a year of human analysis and literature review. OpenAI, PerturbAI, and Scripps Research used thousands of GPT-Rosalind agents to analyze data from millions of mouse brain cells.
Replying to @OpenAI
In the same mouse-brain dataset, GPT-Rosalind found a possible clue to why TSC2 mutations tend to cause more severe tuberous sclerosis than TSC1 mutations. The two genes work together to regulate mTOR. Yet in one group of cerebellar neurons, disrupting TSC2 changed the expression of dozens of genes, including genes involved in neuronal communication. Disrupting TSC1 had little effect on gene expression in the same cell type. Existing treatments already target mTOR. Do they reverse these changes, or is there more to TSC2’s role in these neurons?

Getty should double down on AI-generated images. Kodak invented the digital camera but failed to adapt its business model. Now you can buy Kodak-branded batteries

I feel like hackers who were already brilliant before AI are on a whole new level now.

OpenAI is proposing a five-stage process for responding to critical security vulnerabilities, coordinating fixes with maintainers, security providers, and government agencies before public disclosure. The company has also committed $1 billion in subsidized Daybreak access to help security organizations protect essential services.

AI just helped uncover critical vulnerabilities in PHP, which powers an estimated 70% of websites. The fixes took two months and required a major change to the PHP engine.
OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites. Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors. Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact. This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare. openai.com/index/coordinated…

Wiz Research wasn't the first one to discover the exploit. An independent researcher first discovered it: x.com/calif_io/statu…

The biggest breakthrough of @thsottiaux's 28-day challenge so far.
You can now choose 12-hour prompt caching in the API. Persistent agents, like dots, reuse context throughout the day. You can keep shared instructions, tools, and context cached longer and pay the lower cached-input rate, even when requests are hours apart.

I hate fraud with a passion. That money could be spent on healthcare, education, development, and helping poorer communities instead.

Wrong. Every company that wants to survive will have to become an AI company.

NVIDIA DSX POD is a pre-integrated and tested AI infrastructure solution that can be deployed in as little as 14 days at a prepared data center
AI builders need computing capacity they can put to work sooner. We introduced DSX POD at NVIDIA GTC Berlin: AI factories integrated and tested before delivery, enabling deployment at prepared sites in as little as 14 days.

Important: NEO Steer is still a concept. Toyota hasn't announced a price for the system or confirmed whether it will be available in production Land Cruisers.
