The voice of 🇦🇲s across 🇪🇺 ahead of European Political Community Summit in Yerevan. Stop hypocrisy! Stand for democracy!
Armen Ashotyan, vice chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, held a protest outside the European Union mission in support of 18-year-old Davit Minasyan and issued a statement in his defense.
The case stems from an incident inside St. Anna Church on Palm Sunday involving Nikol Pashinyan and members of his security detail.
Following the incident, Minasyan was placed in pre-trial detention for two months.
More than 40 political prisoners in “democratic” Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan is mutating into autocrat with unprecedented velocity and under silent de facto approval from 🇪🇺 institutions.

Armen Ashotyan, Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia and Minister of Education and Science from 2009 to 2016, remains one of the most outspoken critics of Nikol Pashinyan. Although under court restrictions, he continues to engage actively in political debates, focusing on democracy, justice, and the role of the opposition.
In this interview, Ashotyan discusses how modern authoritarian regimes, including Armenia, use non-violent but highly effective tools to silence dissent. He argues that Pashinyan openly dismantles constitutional checks and balances and misuses administrative power not only against political rivals but also against independent voices from the Church, the Diaspora, and wider society.
He speaks candidly about political prisoners, the fractured opposition, and growing concerns over justice. Watch the full interview for his unfiltered perspective.
Open and intensive discussion about outcomes of so-called “revolution”, mistakes of the former administration and sins of the current government.

We express our strong concern related to the installation by #Azerbaijan of a checkpoint on the #LachinCorridor in 23/04/2023. This can be seen as a clear violation of the ceasefire statement of 09/11/2020 & act of disrespect of the Intl. Court of Justice ruling in 22/02/2023.

As we commemorate the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, we affirm our steadfast commitment for the Armenian people. It is our solemn obligation to uphold the remembrance of the victims and persist in our tireless efforts to attain justice.
🇦🇲 genocide commemoration day this year has another utmost significance: intl community has no right to fail in preventing another ongoing genocide of 🇦🇲 people, this time in Nagorno Karabakh. 🇦🇿-🇹🇷 duo nowadays is consistently implementing a genocidal policy towards NK Armenians
