@TheKeralaPolice how many noise complaints will it take for @SobhaLtd to stop middle-of-the-night construction at their Marina One Kochi site?

Yesterday, we went to Anand Nagar for campaigning. A mother has lost her son, and it is deeply saddening that she is fighting this battle all on her own.
Sahil’s mother stands alone today, not because her cause is wrong, but because our silence protects the perpetrators. This must end NOW.
Every mother in our community must wake up to the threat, if we don’t rally together and force justice for Sahil today, tomorrow another mother will be left stranded by the same indifferent system.
Break the silence! Join the struggle for Sahil!

first you delete . then you make an appeal to apply using form 6 with an illegal declaration ( liable with a 1 year jail term for misrepresentation) that you are a "first time voter"!!
The election Commission and its proceedures are a cruel joke on people, democracy, and citizens
VIDEO | Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar says, "I appeal to all the eligible voters of Karnataka. If your name is not there in the electoral roll, kindly apply through Form 6, your name will be definitely added into the electoral roll after due verification. I could assure, we have taken lot of special drives, campaigns and publicity campaigns. So, every voter is aware of and I specially appeal to voters who complete 18 years of age. The moment you complete 18 years of age, kindly apply immediately, definitely enrol your name into the electoral roll."

If not outcome-based, democracy was performative. It is neither now.

First, we were restricted from gathering at Chaityabhoomi. Now, the Mumbai Police are preventing us from holding meetings even inside Buddha Viharas to discuss the Sahil Wakode case.
Are our Chaityabhoomi and our Buddha Viharas no longer ours?
Wake up, Buddhists!
If we are blocked from coming together even at our own religious places to demand justice, how much longer are we going to stay silent?
How much longer will we tolerate these restrictions on our rights?
Now is not the time to keep quiet. It is time to stand united, raise our voices, and fight for our rights!

The government of India, through Ministry of Road Transport and highways is a data broker selling our personal data.
Shameful. No wonder govt wanted to exempt itself from dpdp act.
Your number plate can reveal your full name, address and insurance details to anyone with ₹29 and an app.
Our RTIs found that NIC issued 25,000+ private credentials to query VAHAN and eChallan since January 2024, leading to 17 million private lookups. On October 1, private data sharing was quietly switched off with no public notice. Meanwhile, the logs that could prove misuse are set to expire.
We’ve filed first appeals demanding accountability and preservation of those logs.

Hi @DelhiPolice can you please clarify if this behaviour is an aberration by this particular officer or is this what officers are being asked to do categorically now to harass media constantly and prevent them from reporting ongoing events? Since when did reporting on the streets invite a threat of ‘chalaan’- kindly define that too?
Unbelievable.
A Delhi Police officer confronts an independent journalist, warning him that he cannot report from the road and will be CHALLANED for reporting with a mic and camera.
And yes, he’s the SAME officer who asked @Saurabh_Unmute, “Ye kya hai red mic?” and denied him entry to cover Delhi protest.

India has no democracy for Dalits.
Why is Mumbai Police detaining students and activists gathered at Chaityabhoomi to demand justice in IIT BOMBAY student Sahil Wakode's institutional murder case?
Can't Dalits seek justice under BJP govt?

BJP hates Dalits.
Mumbai Police forcibly detained several protesters and students who staged a public protest at Chaityabhoomi demanding justice in Sahil Wakode's institutional murder case.

Cops are also part of the same radicalised society!!

This is not a just a protest, it is now a moral reckoning of the state & Chaityabhoomi will stand vigil. My piece in @TheQuint
On average a student dies on IIT campus once every 5 weeks. Thousands more dropout/ burn out/ get mental trauma-- each of these students come to IIT with the hope/aspiration for a better life.
The toxic casteist system chokes them, fails them. Denies them democratic possibilities of upwards mobility. The system needs to answer.
At a time when massive protests over ‘vote-chori’ are playing out across #India, this seemingly small battlefield over a campus suicide may become a much larger flashpoint that hits close to the very idea of India’s democracy. @ProfRavikantK writes.

How dare this nation call itself equal when the RSS gets a free pass to parade through the streets armed, yet the Dalit community gets suppressed the second they try to light a single candle for basic justice?

The Election Commission has filed its reply in the Supreme Court to the petition on how the three-member Commission functions.
27 pages, approved by all three members. Its argument: every decision was unanimous, and a Commissioner’s note is a “suggestion,” not a decision.
Here’s what it addresses, and what it doesn’t.

Since the death of Sahil Wakode at IIT Mumbai, the only role of the media has been to subvert the real questions that need to be asked about his death. In this report, I bring up the most important evidence that exists against IIT:
1. What did IIT do

Umar Khalid's thesis was removed from IISER Pune library. Their BoG chair described its inclusion as "shocking" and a "mischief."
Bit of a strong reaction to a book whose subject is the effect of British colonial administration on Adivasi communities between 1830-1897.

Daughter of an Auto-Rickshaw Driver: Deepali Salve’s Journey from the Slums of Mumbai to the Frontlines of the Ambedkarite Movement.
Some people rise above their circumstances to change their own destiny. Others rise to change the destiny of an entire community. Deepali Salve belongs to the latter.
I first met Deepali Salve in Nanded, Maharashtra, in 2022. She had travelled all the way from Mumbai, all alone, to listen to our Ambedkarite speakers. When I asked her about her journey, she replied simply, “Yes, Dada. I came here to listen to all our Ambedkarite speakers.”
I did not know then that this meeting would become the beginning of a shared journey of struggle, organization, and social transformation.
As we spoke about the condition of our people, the atrocities committed against Dalits, and the continuing injustice faced by our communities, Deepali expressed a pain that went far beyond her personal experiences. She said, “Dada, when I see the condition of our people and the atrocities committed against them, I feel that we are still living under Peshwa rule.”
Her words struck me deeply. They reflected the anguish of a young Dalit woman who had witnessed inequality and understood that silence could never be the answer to oppression.
That day, we shared more than our concerns. We shared a determination to organize, resist, and build a movement that could give our people a stronger collective voice. From that conviction emerged the All India Independent Scheduled Castes Association (AIISCA)—an effort to organize our communities, assert our rights, and carry forward the unfinished mission of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
But we also understood that political awareness and social mobilization alone were not enough. Our children needed education. Our girls needed opportunities. Our most marginalized students needed guidance, resources, and someone who would tell them that their dreams were possible.
This realization led us to establish the Savitribai Phule Resource Centre (SRC).
Today, we have more than 15 centres, helping students from marginalized backgrounds pursue higher education. Every year, more than 100 students move towards higher education in some of India's premier institutions. Behind every student who succeeds is a family that dares to dream, a young person who refuses to surrender, and a movement that believes no child should be denied an education because of caste, class, or circumstances.
Deepali is an inseparable part of this struggle.
Her own life tells a powerful story of courage, sacrifice, and determination. She comes from Anand Nagar, a Dalit-dominated slum in Chembur, Mumbai—a community where poverty restricts opportunities, where girls often struggle to pursue education, and where early marriage can bring an end to their dreams before they have a chance to take flight.
Her father drives an auto-rickshaw. Her mother works as a sanitation worker and is associated with Stree Mukti Sanghatana. They may not have possessed great financial resources, but they possessed something far more powerful: the determination to educate their children despite every hardship.
Through their sacrifices, they gave their children the opportunity to imagine a different future.
From a government school in Jalna to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar High School and Acharya College in Chembur, Deepali continued her journey against the odds. Poverty could have limited her opportunities. Social stigma could have weakened her confidence. The barriers of caste and gender could have forced her to abandon her aspirations.
But she refused to let her circumstances define her destiny.
Today, she is a PhD scholar at the University of Mumbai, the Maharashtra General Secretary of AIISCA, and a Director of the Savitribai Phule Resource Centre. She is also breaking barriers as one of the rare women from her neighbourhood to pursue a doctorate.

This analysis clinically rips apart everything that the ECI has claimed in its affidavit. If the CJI read this and isn't beholden to the ruling regime, Gyanesh and gang would be charged for perjury for filing this affidavit.
