What helps vulnerable communities face the future with confidence? That question sat at the heart of many conversations at #Charcha2026, India's largest collaborative convening for cross-sector dialogue on inclusive economic growth and social impact. As India works towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, #DBSFoundation brought together leaders from business, social enterprise and civil society to explore how innovation, inclusion and collaboration can strengthen social and financial resilience. In 'Building Social Resilience: Innovation in Health & Education', a panel moderated by Prakash Jaiswal, MD & Head, SME Banking, DBS Bank India, speakers discussed how resilience can be strengthened across different communities, from helping children regain learning momentum, to enabling seniors to age with dignity and purpose, and creating pathways to opportunity for persons with disabilities. A key theme emerged across both discussions: resilience is not just about overcoming setbacks. It's about ensuring people can participate meaningfully in society and the economy. Progress can be fragile. A single health emergency, income disruption or unexpected setback can undo years of gains.
