1905. Railroad construction of the trestle arches over County Road 625E., south of U.S. 36 (Rockville Road). This bridge is locally known as the Haunted Bridge. Construction workers are standing on the bridge.

1939. This is a photo of George Chandler Gerth (1895-1986) and his nephew, Paul Stout Gerth (1929-1992). Paul was born in Marion County, but graduated from Avon High School in 1947 and lived most of his life farming in Avon. He was an Avon school bus driver.
