Papertrade advertises zero fees. I went through the numbers on a simple trade and that isn't what I found.
Say you go long Bitcoin at $80,000 with $1,000 of margin at 1000x. Your position is worth $1M, or 12.5 Bitcoin.
Each $1 move in Bitcoin is $12.50 to you. Your $1,000 covers an $80 drop, so your margin runs out at $79,920.
Papertrade liquidates you at about $79,960. That is a $40 drop. At that point you have lost $500 on paper, but they keep the full $1,000.
On the winning side, say Bitcoin goes up $50 to $80,050. Your profit on 12.5 Bitcoin is $625. Papertrade pays you $406, which is 35% less.
Here is what they pay at different move sizes:
A $25 move earns $312 and pays $157. That is a 50% cut.
A $50 move earns $625 and pays $406. That is a 35% cut.
A $100 move earns $1,250 and pays $940. That is a 25% cut.
A $200 move earns $2,500 and pays $2,032. That is a 19% cut.
A $500 move earns $6,250 and pays $5,333. That is a 15% cut.
A $1,000 move earns $12,500 and pays $10,843. That is a 13% cut.
The cut gets smaller as the move gets bigger, but it never goes away.
At 1000x most trades end on small moves, because Bitcoin moves $40 or $50 all the time. Small moves are where the cut is largest.
Putting the two sides together, a $40 drop costs you $1,000 and a $50 rise pays you $406. To break even on those terms you need to be right about 71% of the time.
For comparison, Hyperliquid would charge roughly $900 in taker fees to open and close a $1M position. That fee is stated up front. Your margin also runs all the way to zero before you are liquidated.
On Papertrade the cost comes from the early liquidation and the reduced payouts on wins. Each one shows up in the price you get rather than as a fee. Combined with 1000x leverage, it puts the odds well against the trader.

we just launched something pretty interesting under jupiter labs.
introducing YOLO. 500x to 1000x leverage.
yes, 1000x.
we’ve been experimenting with a different approach to high leverage trading, and YOLO is our first attempt at it.
the idea is pretty simple. what if we could let people trade with extremely high leverage, without actually having to execute these massive leveraged positions in the market?
so we took inspiration from the JLP model and built YOLO, where positions are simulated against real market prices, but the profits and losses are real.
this allows us to offer leverage that goes far beyond what we currently have on jupiter perps, using a completely different approach.
of course, this also comes with some tradeoffs.
since profits are paid out from the pool, if there isn’t enough liquidity to pay out a winning position, the payout can be queued instead of being paid immediately.
it’s a different model from traditional perps, with its own risks and limitations, but i think it’s an interesting experiment worth exploring.
one thing i’ve always liked about building onchain is how much room there is to experiment with new financial products and trading experiences.
and that’s also why we’re launching YOLO under jupiter labs. to give ideas like this a place to be tested, without necessarily having to fit into our existing products.
i’m quite excited to see how people use YOLO and what we can learn from it.
it’s still early, and there are probably many things we can improve along the way.
but that’s the fun part of building and experimenting.
give it a try, understand the risks, and let us know what you think.

let’s go!
top 25% wallets on pumpfun earned ~$49
top 10% wallets earned ~$500
but the top 25 pumpfun memecoin deployers? they made $128M
the launchpad itself? $65M in revenue last 30 days
now you know who's making the most money in the trenches
it's not you, you're just providing them exit liquidity

Had an "interview" for a blockchain project last week.
Camera was on, we're chatting, and the guy tells me to clone a GitHub repo and run it locally before we go further into the technical round.
I said sure, but first can you do me a favor
hold up 3 fingers in front of your face for me real quick.
He froze.
Didn't move.
Just sat there for a few seconds before the call cut off and he blocked me.
That's when I knew. A real interviewer doesn't glitch out over a random ask like that. A deepfake/AI overlay does.
These "run this repo" scams are getting scary common in crypto and dev hiring right now.
The setup is always the same:
- flattering DM
- real-sounding project
- rushed timeline
- a "quick step" before the call
that's really just remote access or a credential stealer in disguise.
If someone wants you to run code or install something before you've even had a real conversation, that's the whole scam.
Trust the instinct. Stay safe out there.

the stonk eco is 1 month old
it is not strong enough to support pumpfun levels of deployment
if they try they will spread too thin too early
the main concern for the platform should be proving that the tech works at higher marketcaps for its reflection coins. the only way to do that in the first 1-4 months of operation is to send something with their heart. something undeniable, to get the entire crypto ethos to bid. a wif/pepe level mania coin
stonk is not a reflection coin, it is a revenue coin. but it’s revenue is directly associated with how high its reflection pairs can go -> how many / what kind of people play in their trenches. Whales, CEX, they start bidding at 500m, 1b. They need to focus on raising the ceiling of a coin and proving the tech works at $1 because that’s when REAL liquidity and CEX come to play.
How can they be sure it will work if there is no proof of concept yet?
you see the tough struggle in its lowcaps. the eco is all getting crushed today.
if zcat was running and breaching aths, do you think this would be the case?
STONK was at 10m when zcat started its uptrend, and the only reason it pushed is because zcat’s push. They propagated each other. zcat flipped it around 140m at one point. it’s the best meme with the most bullish pair, the flagship token of the launchpad
now, if they continue to try to compete with pump fun on the multi-deployment 100,000,000 coins field, they will lose. pump blew up after fartcoin went to 2b. this isn’t the game to play in the first 1 month of a launchpad.
Pump is a highly credible team that has monopolized the deployment level for memecoins and stood the test of time
Now this will take months to play out. We are not in mania yet. We are in the belief stage. “this rally is real”. that means $1 runners take about 2-4 months to fully reach there
But we don’t know how fast this can accelerated and we’ve never had something paired to an asset like zcash before
TLDR, the anonymous cat will the ceiling and set the goal, as it always has, and the entire world will tokenize their companies on solana.
before then, ceilings are capped across the board.
Stonk will continue to build. We will continue to win. zividends and chill

I’m about to cause an earthquake across CT
Your favorite KOL is running a shady Telegram memecoin scheme
And I'm not talking about Frank, the LA vape cabal, etc.
It's the good ones that act holy on the timeline
All have around 10-60K followers
Over a month ago, I entered the trenches and joined every mid-sized KOL Telegram I could find
Now I finally understand how the game works:
1. They buy a low cap memecoins
2. They post them in Telegram
3. Their followers and copytraders rush in
4. They wait 5–10 minutes
5. They exit
Afterward, they brag that they “gave their community a 2x” based on the exact second the call was posted
But it gets worse
These 10K–60K follower KOLs are all in private groups together, coordinating the same calls across their Telegram channels at the exact same time
Some of the people involved are accounts I genuinely believed were credible
Absolutely disgusting

i did not buy any of this $ZEC
an anonymous cat in the internet ($ZCAT, they are calling it) sent me 100% of these tokens
thanks, anonymous cat

$ZCAT has completely changed how we’ll interact with and value tokens going forward.
You’re essentially betting that the memecoin and its community can keep generating attention, turning that attention into trading volume and fees.
After a decade of diamond handers betting on pure price appreciation, they can now generate yield while they hold. This strengthens diamond handery and gives communities a shared incentive to keep building attention and activity.
And to think $ZCAT started this, has first-mover advantage and pays in Encrypted Digital Gold $ZEC, the market’s strongest narrative right now.
We don’t know the upper limits of this …
