@lbbdcouncil is always quick to pretend that their “wholly owned !” companies have nothing to do with the council.
Reside has been operating as a shell company for years and run by council officers of MyPlace, @lbbdcouncil ‘s housing department!

When I bought a brand new leasehold flat, it was severely defective & posed a risk to life from day 1.
As a leaseholder, I had to go to the managing agent / freeholder (who were also the local authority @lbbdcouncil) to ask them to claim under the warranty.
They achieved nothing in 3 years of asking and ultimately, the balconies we knew were at risk of collapse, collapsed.
If I were a freeholder; I could have gone after the developer myself, but as a leaseholder, I had no right to.
When people talk about leasehold reform, they miss the point entirely. Ownership doesn’t come with a landlord.
