Anyone with a brain could see why this was a bad idea. Dabo just begging Clemson to fire him.

A few minutes with Damian Lillard, who talks about Sacramento Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr., who grew up watching the Trail Blazers star, even modeling some of his game after him. Lillard shares his observations of Acuff & shares his advice for the 19-year-old.

DVH saying he wishes someone else would handle the financial side of things moving forward speaks volumes to me. When you’ve got a coach whose job is to build a roster, develop players, and win baseball games, why are we putting him in a position where he’s having to worry about the financial side of keeping that roster together?
That’s an athletic department responsibility. Give the man the resources and support he needs and let him coach baseball. He’s earned that much.
At some point, Arkansas has to decide whether we’re serious about competing for championships or just talking about it because HY is doing next to nothing and still collecting a check!

Dave Van Horn’s status in Arkansas is untouchable and the fact he has to make a statement like this is yet another indictment of the current athletics administration.

I would be absolutely FLOORED if Arkansas doubles its roster funding next year. Even if they do, player evaluation and coaching have to be better, too.
“I’ve been led to believe this could be as much as double what they have now. Somewhere between 40 and 50 million dollars for their roster next year.”
Could Arkansas be looking at a significant jump in football NIL?

Yea I am not buying that we will be anywhere near 50 million in NIL spending next season. For an organization who has been so opposed to putting out any numbers citing "competitive advantage". They really expect me to believe the midget and the carrot are gonna give me the truth?
1) Anyone who blindly believes this should come out to my open house on Saturday. I have a beautiful beachfront property in Poyen I’d love to sell you.
2) That sort of investment would be amazing and I hope it happens, but it’s more or less wasted on Ryan Silverfield. The improvements should include a real SEC coach and staff (and a new AD).

#Illini head coach Bret Bielema reached out to Mike Locksley after he was let go at Maryland this week.
"Locks and I are extremely close. He's a guy that I love in this profession... He's an extremely talented, extremely gifted human being."
"I've been let go. I grew the most in the moment when somebody told me I wasn't good enough. So I've always just kind of opened my heart and opened my thoughts to guys that are in that situation."
This is great! The second is Cramsey.
Replying to @memphiscountry
Huff was just Silverfraud’s first horcrux. Hopefully there aren’t any more.

I’ve heard this one before.
On the Morning Mayhem radio show with @DavidBazzel, Ryan Silverfield says the Board of Trustees review of the athletic department is going "quite well" and he is "very very confident" Arkansas will have the "necessary resources to be successful in the future".
Pigs better than expected
The Longhorns are in the bottom 10 Power 4 teams in creating turnovers against P4 opponents; this is combined with the Longhorns being in the bottom 15 in giving the ball away
The only turnover Texas has created vs. the P4 was defending the final-second Hail Mary vs. Ohio State
data from @ironfbstats
This is what Ryan Silverfield needs to be doing.
Kenny Dillingham said he and ASU's staff met for 3.5 to 4 hours yesterday to discuss its shortcomings in its off-season plan when forming this 2026 team and how to avoid making the same mistakes when constructing the 2027 roster.
Worth a listen.
