Signing in to Call of Duty & seeing EIGHT successful report confirmations is a beautiful thing. The fact people have become so desperate in a video game, shows how far we’ve devolved as a society. Imagine thinking “if I cheat in this game, I’ll become the next big Twitch or YouTube star!” Not on my watch, I’ll spend 5 minutes just spam reporting you. I’m that petty.

To this day, I can’t believe “Wait (The Whisper Song)” did not win a Grammy for outstanding lyrical writing.

One of the most infuriating things I see from other parents: Using *the kids* as an excuse to justify their poor financial decisions. Prime example below: “Oh we’re going to Disney, again. Yeah we just put it on our credit card and will eventually pay it all back.” No. This is why you’re eternally broke. You’re paying 20%+ interest on a trip that’s easily running 10k+ for a family of 4. If you can’t pay the bill in full, you can’t afford it. It’s really that simple.

After months of watching & reading reviews and waiting for updates…I’ve finally pulled the trigger on the Aiden coffee maker. Can’t wait to nerd out over fully customized brews, all the way down to water temperature & bloom cycles.

Ego: 0. Shoulder: 1. (A Comeback Story in Progress) Returning after a week of no lifting and 3 home PT/mobility sessions. At nearly 40, I've learned that the body keeps receipts. My surgically repaired shoulder & arm recently reminded me of this in the loudest possible way, after I decided it was "feeling great" and treated it like it was 25, never dislocated multiple times, and had never met a surgeon. It had not forgotten. It had been waiting. So here I am, back in the home gym, staring at my Powerblocks and Machines like an old friend I owe money to. My beautifully engineered 4-day Upper/Lower spreadsheet is still there, cheerfully expecting numbers I am not going to hit anytime soon. Excel does not care about my feelings. Excel has never had a labrum ripped off the bone, 6 implants drilled into bone, and a bicep tendon shortened and attached in a new spot. Here's what I'm relearning: Coming back isn't about picking up where you left off; it's about picking up where you actually *are*. Lighter weights. Slower reps. Warm-ups that take longer than some of my old workouts. Paying attention to the difference between "this is hard" and "this is a bad idea." Leaving reps in the tank on purpose, which, for an advanced lifter, feels roughly as natural as leaving a pizza half eaten. There's a strange humility in it. Six-foot-six, a decade-plus under the bar, and I'm celebrating a mostly pain-free set of light presses like I just won the Stanley Cup. But honestly? I'll take it. Progress that's boring is still progress, and progress that keeps me lifting beats progress that ends with another consult and a sling. So, to my shoulder: I hear you. I'm sorry. Let's do this the smart way this time. To my ego: please wait in the car.

I’ve been looking for a signature scent…..just sayin!
No more teasers. Q4 surprise 1 of 2 is below and comes with a pretty epic giveaway! I've been strategizing on a mens fragrance for 6 months. I knew what I wanted but after some help exploring scents with @recon10th and wrapping up with @GreenHornTX, we didn't just nail one. We nailed three. In true Barbarian fashion, each brand for these was hand-lettered. Each of the 3 scents built entirely from scratch...for hours. Drop-by-drop. In-person. We didn't hire a lab to develop them; we did them ourselves with professional guidance to produce three unique fragrances for Barbarian. This is the next big jump for us. We will acquire the fragrances in bulk (produced right here in north GA), bottle by hand, and print every single one in-house. No labels for these; our highly detailed artwork will be printed directly on every bottle! I couldn't be happier with the outcome of these (thank you Fil & Ryan). We'll be getting small tester bottles filled and branded this week so we can get some of YOU to test them out and give us feedback. 🚨 GIVEAWAY DETAILS 🚨 1. Follow our page. 2. Like this post. 3. Repost or quote post. We'll select 10 random winners to try out all 3 scents from our forthcoming fragrance line. Winners will be chosen on 11/1. ---------- Barbarian is a lifestyle and mindset brand as much as it is a fitness brand. We'll continue to work hard and push boundaries to create high touch point products and back them with high touch point customer service. We hope you'll give our fragrances a chance and, don't worry ladies... we haven't forgotten about you with our Thyra line; just have to nail these first! I hope you all like the theming, key art, naming, and branding I put together for these; it's been a ton of fun and I'm glad I don't have to keep this hidden anymore. Looking forward to your feedback. Don't forget to follow the giveaway details above for your chance to be the first to sample these! - JR ⚔️

I was offered a few full scholarships to wrestle in college, but I opted not to go because I was tired of cutting weight and I was not a great student 4. I used to be very shy and introverted with any social situation as recent as 4 years ago 5. I was a functioning addict for many years and have been clean for 10 years now 6.
