We demand that the thugs who carried out this dastardly attack & the powers behind them be brought to book. It's an attempt to intimidate & repress l. It gives a glimpse to the violence the @OfficialAPCNg has in stock to try "win" the January elections. We must all resist this! – at Ornex, France
BREAKING: MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH AS CHILLING ATTACK VIDEO REVEALS FACES OF ATTACKERS IN BRUTAL ASSAULT ON @SOWORE, TEAM IN ADO-EKITI
Fresh video evidence has emerged showing the faces of individuals identified as participants in the October 30, 2026, armed attack on leaders and me, as well as members of the African Action Congress (AAC) and members of his team in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, who assaulted one of our team members.
The breakthrough comes amid disturbing revelations that CCTV recordings from Tawakalitu Restaurant, where the attack occurred, have reportedly been completely erased after police officers and the DSS took possession of the equipment and took it to Government House only to return it this evening without any images.
Today, I contacted the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Michael Falade; the Ado-Ekiti Central Police Station DPO, Mustapha Mohammed; and the state's Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Commander to demand updates on the investigation.
Shockingly, the officers claimed there was "no complainant" because I had not submitted a written statement, despite police rescuing the victims, taking them to their hospital, arresting suspects, and recovering weapons, stolen phones, and other devices.
I questioned the officers about stolen phones electronically traced to the Governor's Lodge and the missing CCTV recordings; they denied knowledge and abruptly ended their conversations.
In another development, Tawakalitu Restaurant management reportedly confirmed that a DPO returned the CCTV equipment, but the recordings had been completely wiped. The management refused to identify the officer responsible for returning the equipment.
This is an indication of a coordinated cover-up by the @PoliceNG hierarchy in Ekiti State
However, the newly recovered video provides crucial leads in identifying individuals involved in the attack.
Their identities and roles need a credible independent body to investigate, and we call for the removal of the CP and other officers involved in the cover-up.
SEE BELOW THE BREAKTHROUGH VIDEO SHOWING THE FACES OF ATTACKERS IN ACTION.

The living standards and working conditions of the vast majority of Nigerians are terrible. And social security measures that could help cushion the suffering are inadequate. Just 1.2% of the country’s GDP is committed to providing social protection. This is less than half of the African average of 2.8%.
In 2012, the International Labour Organization (ILO) adopted the Social Protection Floors Recommendation No. 202 with four core guarantees.
How has Nigeria fared regarding this recommendation? What has been done and what are the gaps? What can workers and their unions in both the formal sector and informal economy do?
The Workers’ Rights Campaign (WRC) and Elegant Nurses Forum (ENF) invite you to a discussion.

It is 52 years since the Apena Declaration – a pivotal moment in the quest for trade union unity in the Nigerian labour movement. Before the signing of this declaration at the Apena Cemetary on 21 September 1974, trade unions in Nigeria had waged near-fratricidal warfare (except for moments when rank-and-file pressures from below forced them into temporary united fronts of struggle) for a quarter of a century, based on ideological divides (not helped by alignment with the three key international centres: the Communist- WFTU, the West oriented ICFTU and the Church-inclined WCL).
The ruling class’ response was brutal. It’s state, under a military junta recognised how a united trade union movement could magnify the power of the working class. It banned the @NLCHeadquarters formed in the wake of the Apena Declaration and 11 leading trade unionists. But the genie was out of the bottle. There have been ups and downs since that solemn moment with lessons for us to learn for today. Here’s an article I wrote to mark the 50th anniversary of the Declaration two years ago. socialistworkersleague.org/2…
21 years ago, we lost Chima Ubani. He & Tunji Oyeleru died in a car crash in Potiskum, on the way to Yola, in the midst of a mass mobilisation against yet another impending hike in fuel pump price. This was a campaign of the Labour Civil Society Coalition (LASCO).
He was one of the finest on the Nigerian Left for two decades. His death was a big blow to us all. It had fallen on me to receive his remains & that of Oyeleru in Abuja, depositing them at the National Hospital Abuja morgue around 3:30am....I still remember those bodies, 21 years later.
Continue to rest in power. Here's the text of a press conference we organised as the United Action for Democracy (UAD) in tribute to this great revolutionary:

quite interesting. not the least in the wake of the re-sizing of Africa on the global map.
In 1951, the Sorbonne rejected Cheikh Anta Diop's doctoral thesis for arguing that ancient Egypt was a Black African civilization. Nine years later, he walked back in and forced them to accept it.
Diop didn't soften the argument to make it easier to swallow. He spent the next nine years building more evidence, while the original rejected thesis got published anyway in 1954 as Nations nègres et culture and made him one of the most talked-about historians in Francophone Africa. In 1960 he defended the reworked thesis and was finally awarded his doctorate.
He didn't stop at winning an academic argument. Diop went back to Senegal and built Africa's first radiocarbon dating laboratory, so African historical claims would never again have to travel through a European lab to be considered credible. He also developed a melanin dosage test, a method for determining skin pigmentation from preserved tissue, and used it on Egyptian mummy skin samples held in Paris after Egyptian authorities spent over a year refusing to send him access to the royal mummies in Cairo.
In 1974, he presented his findings at a UNESCO symposium in Cairo, in front of roughly twenty of the world's leading Egyptologists. Nobody reached consensus on his full thesis that day. But UNESCO's own record of the symposium admitted something important: Diop had exposed real inconsistencies in how African data had been handled in the field up to that point.
Diop was never actually trying to win over that room. He was building a lab, a method, and an evidence trail so that the next African historian wouldn't have to ask anyone's permission to study their own continent's past.
Did I just hear Samuel Ortom complain on TV that his successor seized 23 vehicles he was legitimately dashed by Benue state from him? Thief! Those ruling us, across all their parties are brigands. @aacparty will stop these shameless practices of perpetual primitive accumulation. – at Collex-Bossy, Suisse
Thugs attacked @aacparty activists at #RevolutionNow protest in #Maryland #Lagos. The police left enabled a corridor for the fascistic hoodlums with stones, iron rods etc to pass through, indicating collaboration. They then seized on the fracas to disperse the demo teargas. – at Ikeja, Nigeria
This is a dangerous pointer to the violence which we will see as campaigns unfold, especially in Lagos: some of the thugs were shouting "Tinubu forever". @TIBmovement & the party remain undeterred as the protest continues in Abuja & several other cities. A luta continua! ✊🏿🚩 – at Ikeja, Nigeria
