I run a privately funded NGO. We did some really amazing things a few months ago, but I was so busy learning the ropes of being a dad that I didn’t get the chance to share it with you. See it here 👇 youtu.be/4KEGxItIFe8?si=FZ9c… Cc: @DYMove_official

I’ve been in Nigeria for six days now, and I can already see how wonderful it is. It gives me such peace of mind, and I feel happy every single moment I’m here. Things are not nearly as bad or as dangerous as they are often portrayed. You can easily manage your expenses and keep costs down. Electricity is still being improved, and road development is actively ongoing. I honestly believe we are still in a better situation than many other countries. Most importantly, the peace of mind you get in Nigeria simply cannot be compared to what you find in the Western world.🇳🇬❤️

Bro, Nigeria is home, but things are bad. Let us not be lying to ourselves as we are getting older. Nigerians are suffering and there is no improved electricity. Our generation should not be scared to speak the truth.

Arsenal beating Sunderland and Nottingham Forest with clean sheets is boring. The real entertainment is City losing 3–1 to Forest and Chelsea losing to Sunderland. That’s the sweet atmosphere everyone wants. 😂 Now I understand why they call us boring. They were right. 😭

For the 24/7 light ish? The whole system is disjointed. The bureaucracy is exhausting. Each state needs to have its own DisCo and GenCo, ALL forms of electricity generation should be explored - Nigeria should forget about carbon emissions for now and go all out in elec generation

Delulu 😂
Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest has just kicked off. Maresca is about to school Arteta on what beautiful football actually looks like. The scoreline will speak for itself. Just sit back and watch.

😂
After seeing this lineup, I genuinely can't see Nottingham Forest getting a single shot on target today.

Jonny Walker 😂
Arsenal have only won 2 games in the league by more than 1 goal. 1-0 vs. Leeds, Hull, Forest. 3 relegation teams. City will walk the league.

Immigrants are human beings with ambitions, qualifications, families, and aspirations. They are not commodities imported to serve a particular industry indefinitely. There is also a glaring contradiction in your argument. On the one hand, you suggest that migrants will become dependent on benefits after obtaining permanent residency. On the other hand, you express concern that they will leave care work for better employment opportunities. Which exactly is your objection? If someone leaves the care sector to become a solicitor, accountant, engineer, or another highly skilled professional, they are still working, paying taxes, contributing to the economy, and potentially earning more. Surely, that is something any country interested in economic growth should welcome. You cannot simultaneously complain that migrants might become economically inactive and then oppose their efforts to become more economically productive. That is not a coherent policy argument; it is a glaring double standard. If the government wishes to retain skilled care workers, it should create an environment where remaining in the sector is a desirable choice, not an imposed obligation. A fair society does not measure the worth of immigrants solely by how long they remain in the jobs they were originally recruited to perform. It also recognises their right to grow, contribute, and fulfil their potential. The real question should be: Why are we discussing how to prevent care workers from leaving instead of asking why the sector struggles to retain them in the first place? You cannot build a sustainable care system by restricting people’s ambitions. You build it by making care work a profession people are proud to choose and financially able to remain in. Retention should be earned through dignity, fair pay, and opportunity I know you are inconsequential in the scheme of things however Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
Regarding ILR, I stand by EVERYTHING I said. You don't need statistics to prove how many people leave the care sector or claim benefits once granted permanent residency….the point was, we shouldn’t even be given 1.9 million people who came here on 5 year working visas the OPTION. The country shouldn’t even take the risk if even 2% apply for benefits or leave the care sector. Just because someone took the opportunity to work here, why must Britain grant them all settled status or citizenship? The sense of entitlement is astounding. They may have been promised it before, but things change based on the economy etc Prevention is better than cure. We should not give hundreds of thousands of individuals the option to leave the very roles we desperately brought them in for, such as care work, nor provide access to welfare and social housing when public resources are already overstretched until the country is in a better position to accommodate that. People may pretend not to understand because they are driven by emotion, but opening up welfare access to nearly two million low wage workers will inevitably lead to a portion of them claiming benefits or requesting social housing. Why wouldn’t they? If people have been living in overcrowded conditions, with two or three families sharing a single property and are suddenly eligible for the housing element of Universal Credit to move into their own family home, of course they will take it. Britain simply cannot afford to take that risk right now. It is that straightforward.
