I chose to back every @vibestarterxyz wave 1 raise. Not because they decided to launch via our platform, but because they were the only projects strong enough to pass our difficult acceptance criteria.
We've had hundreds of applicants, yet these are the ones that made the cut. That's means something imo.
I also feel obliged to support my fellow solo builders who are trying to get started, and who haven't been given the opportunity for funding through traditional means. A position I know all too well.
For the record, I have no intention of selling my positions. I just think it's cool to have a stake in what's being built through Vibestarter.

Vibestarter S.à r.l. is now incorporated in Luxembourg. We signed the final documents earlier today.
The sequencing was deliberate. Legal counsel shaped the platform structure during its design, and the CSSF (our local regulator) was notified of the full intended scope before launch, including the raise mechanics, escrow and challenge system, staking, and the chains Vibestarter operates on. That notification went in before incorporation so the regulatory lead time could run while the company formation process was being completed.
None of this was the fast path, but it was the right one. The goal has always been to build something that can operate for the long term rather than rush to market and deal with the consequences later.
With the entity now in place, two major parts of the platform can move forward:
Third party raises - Wave 1 will be the first shortlisted cohort of third-party raises across Base and Robinhood Chain, with direct applications also remaining open. Those raises will be opening by end of August.
Staking - Staking also activates with Wave 1. Staked $VIBES becomes eligible for a fixed 2.5% token allocation from every raise that finalises on the platform, distributed by contract at finalisation and pro rata to active stake. Staking will be going live later this week.
To everyone who backed Vibestarter and waited while this groundwork was being laid, thank you. The wait was part of building the foundation properly.

The crowdfunding scenario I dislike most is pretty simple: the money gets raised, the founder gets access to it, and everything after that becomes uncertain.
@vibestarterxyz is trying a different structure. Vibestarter is a crowdfunding platform for solo founders building vibe-coded apps. Backers support projects and receive project tokens, but founders don’t get access to the full raise on day one.
Only 10% is released at the start. The remaining funds are released 15% at a time each month for six months, and backers get a 72-hour challenge window before every release.
Liquidity is also locked permanently, so there isn’t an open withdrawal path sitting behind the raise.
This doesn’t remove product risk or guarantee that an app will succeed. But at least the part after the raise isn’t left completely open. Founder access to the funds is spread out over time, and backers still have a window to challenge each release.
