Major Miner, Fiancé, and Bone Miner concepts for #MinaTheHollower. The first Miner sketch came out of the early drafts for the Bone Beach panorama. These later drawings were made to push the design further and explore what the creatures might be. Originally, I imagined them a bit like the Dwarves in The Lord of the Rings, with both men and women sporting beards and looking fairly similar. I also played with more pronounced sexual dimorphism, making the women noticeably larger than the men. @Bandygrass later described them as asexual creatures that simply pop out of the ground, so what they actually are is still pretty open to interpretation.
