🔵⚪️ Disappointing crowd. This is the best football #htafc have played in years. They’re top of the table and have lost just once all season but there are still a lot of empty seats around the ground. Why? I know it was on the telly. Reasonable ticket prices - £20 for adults.

A total one-off. Sometimes vehemently disagreed when I questioned him but he never did carry out his threat to ban me. Kept his promise to take #BCAFC to the Premier League giving fans lifelong memories. Life was different but never boring under him. RIP Geoffrey.

🚨 Legendary Premier League owner Geoffrey Richmond dies aged 85 - Bradford City announced the death of their former chairman - Richmond served as chairman for eight years, from 1994 to 2002 - The Bantams made their first Wembley appearance in 1996 under him - Goals from Des Hamilton and Mark Stallard beat Notts County to win promotion to the First Division - City reached the Premier League in 1999 - They famously survived on the final day thanks to David Wetherall's finish against Liverpool - His tenure also included reaching the UEFA Intertoto Cup semi-finals in 2000/01 - He played an important role in redeveloping the Main Stand, Kop and Midland Road Stand - The club said their thoughts are with his family and friends - Fans paid tribute to the man who "made the previously impossible possible"

Being able to regularly communicate with the owner of my club as a teen was what sealed the bond I have with #bcafc. The memories… so many memories… and for a few years, we lived the dreams we never thought possible. Who knows what would have happened without Geoffrey, for better or worse, but the one thing for sure is that he believed in us more than we believed in ourselves, and he gave us ambitions to achieve what we previously had never thought was possible.
