Today is a good day to remind everyone that George Gascón is the DA of the largest prosecutorial agency in the world but has NEVER appeared in court once as a prosecutor.
He’s never personally filed a case, handled a preliminary hearing, done a Grand Jury, arraigned a defendant, argued a bail motion or done a trial. He’s never even questioned one witness as a prosecutor.
You can’t even go to him for advice because he doesn’t even know how to be a DDA. As we have seen from his day 1 directives, he doesn’t even understand the laws of CA.
As DA, I’ll lead by example day 1. And that means even grabbing a file & doing a prelim if we are short staffed. It’s called leadership.
