Tell me the first World Series you really remember. I'm talking about the players, how the games went, etc.
Mine is the 2002 World Series, won by the Angels over the Giants. I remember first learning about two undersized guys: David Eckstein and Chone Figgins and as a smaller guy myself believing baseball at the next level was possible (it wasn't)
Matt Cain's 7 year stretch from 2006 to 2012 was something special
1490.1 IP | 3.30 ERA | 3.63 FIP | .224 BAA | 1.18 WHIP
Over that span was 7th in IP, 15th in ERA, & 10th in fWAR with 26.7 accumulated. That guy did, indeed, rock
I once asked my college coach what MLB team he pulled for and he gave me a response that continues to ring true every year….
“As I get older I become less a fan of a team and more a fan of the sport”
It’s become a much healthier way to watch baseball
Three things usually make up a championship team in any sport at any level
1.) A good bit of talent
2.) Checked egos
3.) Guys knowing their role
The Brewers have had that combination all year long
I asked Trevor Megill his thoughts after not coming in for the save/Murph keeping Ashby out there for the 2nd time this postseason. His answer, “we’re not here for egos, we’re here to win a ring.”

One of only 3 SS to have 5+ 30 HR seasons, is a part of the 300 HR/200 SB club, and has accumulated 5 ASG nods, 2 GG, 1 PG, and 4 SS
At only 32, what other milestones could we see Lindor hit?
