Finished my portrait of JRR Tolkien. Lost track of the hours this took but as Tolkien himself said,
"All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

When it comes to stuff like this, I'm always more inclined to believe hunters and knowledgeable observers (this man was a seasoned hunter), and I know 4 people who've said they've seen mountain lions in the area (all four witnesses know the local wildlife).
I myself have seen a lynx up at my buildsite where "experts" say they don't live. (It was not living at my buildsite, as cool as that place is 😆 so the experts are partially correct)
Ran into a guy today who swears he and his wife saw a black leopard (or jaguar or mountain lion) about 25miles from here.
Imagine seeing that on your evening walk?!!

I get a lot of "I never see your tweets"
Understandable. I don't tweet much. Maybe i tweet more on a rainday or in cold winter. But if you don't post a lot, you get demoted in the algorithm.
Doesn't mean a lot isn't getting done. Today I hauled 800lbs of concrete from warehouse to truck, truck to ATV, ATV to buildsite. Did masonry on the fireplace for the afternoon. Setup a trailcam in the swamp on the beaver lodge. Raked leaves. Watered all the bonsai. Tested out some equipment for a sculpture project. Napped. Ate. Couple hours researching for the novel and starting a new art commission. Made dinner at 11.
I often think this or that might have made for an interesting post, or have an observation on some event happening, but by then it's late night.
So I'm here, but I'm also unplugged from the internet a lot. And always trying to find the right balance.
