PROGRESS IS A PROCESS,’ BUT OBSTACLES REMAIN

"GOOD THINGS CAN INDEED FOLLOW BAD ONES"
Five years after being fired, Dayton’s Anthony Grant is the Naismith Coach of the Year. It’s a reminder that a rough stretch doesn’t have to be a defining stretch — and that good things can indeed follow bad ones, writes @GaryParrishCBS.

The more coaches of color that get legitimate opportunities, the more chances they will have to do what these two outstanding coaches of color have done. We should not be surprised by this, because black coaches can coach also.

Players: If your coach holds you accountable, you are VERY fortunate. A lot of coaches accept their players doing whatever they want, whenever they want with no consequences. Discipline, responsibility & accountability are life prep! If your coach cares that much, respect it!
Accountable...
Unfortunately in todays game, players and parents don't want to accept this.
Let's get our boys back on the floor,
and make Lincoln Park Great Again, our school is not what you're reading and seeing on TV and Social media

Coaches need to provide a sense of inclusiveness and help each player feel a part of the team. However, this doesn’t mean you should tolerate slackers or bad teammates. You should push everyone to reach the same standards.
