Not going to lie, I'm a bit worried about heading out tomorrow.

Had a meeting with my future ID/MM TPD and ESs. Discussed expectations, opportunities, and networking. Not had such early engagement throughout any of my time in training!

Love walking around Woolwich on a Sunday. Diverse ethnicities in their Sunday best. Gonna miss living in southeast London when I leave for Cambridge.

It dawned upon me that I'll be an ID/micro SpR in 2 months - so incredibly unreal 🥲

Asking for recommendations of good reading resources for ID/micro trainees? Been recommended Oxford clinical handbook, Sanford guide and Tutorial topics in Infection so far!

The ideal number of dimsum dishes to order = 2 X number of people + 2. Always the perfect amount.

Buzzing to start ID/Micro training. Any recommendations on resources for pre-reading/advice before starting?

Trying to rank the CIT jobs now - one single London ID/MM job. Hard to not feel demoralised about it. :/ I'm sure training outside of London would be great too, but I'm 30 and I don't really want to uproot again please.

Great past 2 days! Pleural clinic, observing IPC insertions/EBUS/medical thoracoscopy, chest drain insertion. A nice taste of what ideal IMT training is.
