CBDA-rich cannabis extract slowed colorectal cancer cell growth better than a pure CBD + CBDA mix.
The entourage effect?
Pure CBD was clearly the strongest at killing the cancer cells and stopping them from growing in both cell types.
The CBDA-rich real cannabis extract surprisingly worked better at slowing cell growth than just mixing pure CBDA + CBD together — suggesting other natural compounds in the plant help make it more effective.
Bottom line / Conclusion:
CBD had the strongest overall effects on stopping cancer cell survival and changing gene activity.
CBDA alone showed only weak activity.
The whole-plant extract rich in CBDA worked better than a simple mixture of pure CBD + CBDA — hinting that the natural combination of compounds in cannabis might be more powerful than isolated ones.
