A simple ask. Watch the 15-minute MAZE documentary The Medical Mesh Scandal Ruining Women’s Lives, says MP Julian Lewis in the Commons. In 2020 the Patient Safety Commissioner outlined a redress scheme for women harmed by pelvic mesh. We're still waiting. hansard.parliament.uk/common…

Susan, @SusanMorgan19 , I recently had a further meeting with my MP @JamesFrith on Friday 9th October regarding the Hughes Report (2024), and other issues: our hideous life long injuries, the negative psychological, physical and emotional impacts...etc, he is going to speak with @DianaJohnsonMP (Minister For Public Health & Patient Safety) and Henrietta Hughes (Patient Safety commissioner)&others regarding our plight....

When will the government respond to the Hughes Report - this is cruel to keep these injured women waiting @andyburnham @YvetteCooperMP @mariacaulfield @DHSCgovuk #redress for the “#avoidableharm “
Devon MP ( Caroline Voaden ) urges Prime Minister to act on pelvic mesh 'scandal’ She demanded to know when the government would respond to the Hughes Report, which was published in 2024 and set out options for providing #redress for those harmed by pelvic #mesh and the medicine valproate. devonlive.com/news/devon-new…

The pelvic mesh crisis isn't a historic mistake—it is an ongoing state scandal. In 2019, APPG Chair Owen Smith exposed how the medical establishment chose profit, defensiveness, and denial over women’s lives. 7 years later, we are still waiting for redress What did Parliament admit in 2019? • The MHRA hid behind false "1-3% complication" stats • Mesh was aggressively oversold as a "quick fix" • Manufacturers used "fire-and-forget" tactics for profit • Severe trauma was deliberately downplayed #ACaseForRedress Worst of all? The NHS set up "Specialist Centres" staffed by the very surgeons who spent decades implanting the mesh. Women were forced back under the knife of the fraternity that harmed them. It's not a care pathway—it's institutional gaslighting. #SecondMeshScandal youtu.be/geOC3kIQXlg?is=XuXV…

Thank you for your suppotive comments. NHS cover ups wouldn't be possible, in my view, without the assistance of co-conspirators. What explains why Dyfed Powys Police & CPS Wales ignored irrefutable evidence for 6 years that an independent DCI turned into 35 suggested charges?

IMMDSReview ORAL HEARINGS - Tuesday 27th November 2018 - SESSION 2 - Sohier Elneil 🔷Complete mesh removal was already known to be incomplete 🔹This is the most pointed line for the Second Mesh Scandal. 🔹She said transobturator mesh commonly left residual material — in her experience around 30% — and retropubic mesh often needed two-stage surgery. 🔹In other words, a senior explant surgeon told the Review in 2018 that “removal” frequently did not mean all of it was gone. 🔷That is exactly what women are still discovering 8 years later. #patientsafety #redress youtu.be/rltGIH-34DA?is=jdK6…

A past tweet from Dr Vanessa Lawton - Senior Gynaecologist and Whistleblower . Calls out her Gynaecology Department at Salford Royal Hospital in 2026. But gaslighted me in her responses to my complaint about my avoidable injury and harm in 2021, no acknowledgement ,apology or accountability , and defended the Gynaecology Dept and the implanting surgeon to the hilt.....All eventually comes to light I guess.... @SusanMorgan19

facebook.com/reel/1028647020… I watched with interest, anger, sadness and reflection, Whistle Blower ex Senior Gynaecology Consultant Vanessa Lawton (see from 0.52 of reel)of Salford Royal Hospital, speaking of the 'poor cultures', 'lacking safety for patients', 'even patients had been harmed, because reviews were not thorough'.... all damning stuff, brave of you, but is this rather too much too late ? I was seriously injured and harmed on her watch at Salford Royal as a result of a misplaced and too tight TVM device, concomitant surgery performed by her colleague. In 2021, I sought acknowledgement and apology from my implanting surgeon for the hideous complications sustained, to which Dr V.L took it upon herself to defend the surgeon & the Trust to the hilt. Her responses were as follows; The misplacement and excessive tension of the Polypropylene device, she replied implantation is 'not an exact science'..... ' as a department there have been very few women who have described chronic pain'.........etc! I explained in my letter of complaint, on removal of the TVM device, that calcifications were embedded into urethral walls/vaginal walls , the device was far too distally placed, with excessive tension, the urethra was described as 'pale and featureless', histology reports regarding the device GFBCR, and pus invasion, the horrendous pain and suffering........ The acknowledgement, accountability and apology never came, defensive to the last. Let's just think of the avoidable patient harm and deaths, whilst your (and others) silence, defensiveness, and the toxic culture simmered... Final word from Whistleblower Dr V.L on Salford Royal 's Gynaecology Dept, 'Could not countenance being referred as a patient to my own department'... @SusanMorgan19 @Channel4News @Independent

BBC Newsline 6 Dec 2018 • The woman leading the review team into the vaginal mesh scandal has told the BBC that she is shocked by the awful suffering that some women have had to experience. Baroness Julia Cumbridge has spent the day here meeting and listening to women who've been living with the implants used to treat urinary incontinence. The use of mesh was suspended for this type of condition. Sadly 8 years later the suffering continues #mesh #redress facebook.com/BBCNewsline/vid…

🔸Improper Placement, the mesh could be incorrectly positioned, leading to complications like erosion into organs or through the vaginal wall. #mesh #publicinquiry #redress
#mesh “#Blind” #insertion technique The practice of implanting vaginal mesh without camera-assisted guidance, often referred to as doing it "blind," has been a significant point of criticism regarding the procedure. 🔴Historical Context: 🔸Initially, many vaginal mesh surgeries were performed without the aid of advanced imaging or guidance tools. Surgeons relied on tactile feedback, anatomical knowledge, and traditional surgical techniques. This method was more common before the widespread recognition of the complications associated with mesh implants. 🔴Lack of Visualization: there's a higher risk of: 🔸Improper Placement, the mesh could be incorrectly positioned, leading to complications like erosion into organs or through the vaginal wall. 🔴Injury: 🔸Increased likelihood of damaging surrounding tissues, nerves, or organs, which could lead to severe pain, infections, or other long-term health issues.

It’s now over 6 years since the report was made public - the mesh injured had already suffered decades of pain and gaslighting - we are now fast approaching another decade since that report without redress or accountability @andyburnham @DHSCgovuk @PSCommissioner @ShaunLintern @matthewhillbbc @itvnews #redress

In March 2025 my MP for Bury North @JamesFrith spoke on my behalf at his First Do No Harm APPG, regarding some of the hideous injuries/complications I sustained as a result of Transvaginal Mesh, his total support was promised prior to General Election. Sadly, this was the one and only APPG he attended. In recent times our MP has been promoted to Under Secretary of State in the Department of Health and Social Care. The perfect position one could say for advocating on this medical scandal , which has been the subject of two government commissioned reports. Sadly no, @JamesFrith ,can no longer advocate or comment due to his professional position! facebook.com/reel/1202518197…
