If you ever regret meeting someone, giving someone your time, trust or love, or simply giving a part of yourself to someone who didn’t appreciate it, I think that instead of beating yourself up about it, you should remind yourself that what’s done is done. Where you were mentally at that time is not where you are now. You’ve changed, grown, and evolved.
It’s not your fault. You gave someone a chance, and that says a lot about who you are and the kind of heart you have.
