Hamas: Israeli siege of Hebron (Al-Khalil) and escalating attacks across West Bank constitute collective punishment —— In a statement on Monday, Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi has condemned Israel's comprehensive siege of Hebron (Al-Khalil) and ongoing attacks across the occupied West Bank, describing them as “crimes of collective punishment” and part of the occupation's continued targeting of Palestinians. Mardawi warned of the dangerous consequences of the escalation, saying Netanyahu and his government are exploiting the attacks for “propaganda and electoral purposes.” He stressed that Israeli aggression would neither weaken Palestinian steadfastness nor succeed in imposing plans for annexation and displacement. He reaffirmed Palestinians' determination to remain on their land and continue resisting the occupation, holding Israel fully responsible for the consequences of its actions. Mardawi also urged the international community and human rights organizations to intervene immediately, lift the siege on Hebron and other areas of the West Bank, end the attacks, and rein in Israeli settlers.

Yemeni strikes paralyze Saudi aviation, grounding thousands of flights in Riyadh —— A systematic campaign of ballistic missile and drone strikes carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces has paralyzed air traffic across Saudi Arabia, causing near-total disruption at the capital’s primary aviation hub. According to operational tracking figures published by aviation analytics firm Cirium, 86 percent of scheduled flights at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport—amounting to 4,071 out of 4,736 departures—were canceled between 8 October and 25 October. The sustained aerial bombardment has forced international and domestic carriers to halt operations, grounding air transport across the Kingdom. The escalation targets critical Saudi infrastructure, including major airports, seaports, and state oil facilities. Yemen's Armed Forces hit King Khalid International Airport in repeated strikes, including a major operation on 10 October that killed 13 people and left over 300 injured—marking the deadliest strike inside the Kingdom in more than a decade. Despite Saudi authorities attempting a partial reopening of the capital's airport following a complete operational shutdown, military spokesmen for the Yemeni Armed Forces reaffirmed that the facility remains an active military target and advised international airlines against operating within Saudi airspace. The aerial blockade has inflicted unprecedented economic and logistical strain on the Saudi regime, compelling major international carriers to extend flight suspensions through November.

Netanyahu orders continued siege of Hebron (Al-Khalil) despite Israeli army chief's objections and 'limited military achievements' —— Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and War Minister Israel Katz have ordered the military to continue its sweeping assault on occupied Hebron (Al-Khalil), rejecting a recommendation by Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir to end it, according to a report by Israeli outlet Ynet published on Monday. The assault, launched after two Israeli soldiers were killed in a shooting operation, has involved mass searches, arrests, the forced displacement of Palestinian residents, and the demolition of structures. Yet according to the report, Israeli occupation forces have uncovered only a limited number of weapons, with no significant stockpiles found, prompting military officials to question the justification for prolonging the operation. According to Ynet, the Israeli military has warned of legal complications arising from keeping Palestinians away from their homes for extended periods, particularly given the lack of substantial, so-called military achievements. Security officials have also cautioned that prolonged operations could provoke further attacks and instability. Nevertheless, Netanyahu and Katz have insisted on continuing the operation, arguing that the large-scale military presence serves as a deterrent and exerts psychological pressure on Palestinians. The disagreement, unfolding just one day before Israel's elections, exposes the political leadership's determination to maintain its military grip on Hebron despite objections from its own army chief.

BREAKING | Egyptian parliament officially approves authorization for Sisi to reinforce Saudi 'defenses' upon request The Egyptian House of Representatives officially approved a constitutional authorization empowering President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to reinforce Saudi Arabia's defense capabilities. Following a closed-door session convened under Article 152 of the Egyptian Constitution, lawmakers voted to grant executive clearance to bolster air defense systems, deploy military assets, and help secure critical infrastructure across the Kingdom upon request. Reports published by Al Arabiya Egypt confirmed that the parliamentary vote grants Cairo the formal legal framework to execute joint security measures requested by Riyadh. The approval follows a recommendation from Egypt's National Defense Council, which met to address escalating regional security crises and repeated missile and drone strikes targeting Saudi urban hubs, energy infrastructure, and commercial airports. Egyptian officials emphasized that the legislative authorization establishes a defensive posture focused on safeguarding territorial integrity, preserving Red Sea maritime access, and providing air defense support to shield strategic installations.

BREAKING | Aggressive Saudi air strikes target Yemen's Sanaa and Mocha Saudi warplanes launched a series of heavy air strikes across the Yemeni capital of Sanaa and key coastal areas along the Red Sea, compounding structural destruction and civilian casualties across the country. Residents in western Sanaa reported hearing at least four massive explosions rocking residential neighborhoods, with blasts shattering windows and damaging homes situated near military posts, according to Al Jazeera. The air campaign extended along the Red Sea coast to the strategic port city of Mocha, which Yemeni Armed Forces recently liberated. A missile strike hit a four-story residential building, destroying the structure and causing severe blast damage to at least ten neighboring homes. Local residents confirmed that the strike directly damaged the Mocha General Hospital, disrupting emergency medical services and critical care operations in the coastal city. Concurrently, heavy ground engagements persist across southwestern Taiz province, where Yemen's Armed Forces are confronting Saudi-backed militia groups for control of the strategic city of Taiz.

Egypt condemns Ben Gvir's storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque under police protection —— Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official press statement condemning in the strongest terms the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who entered the holy site alongside hundreds of settlers under heavy Israeli police protection. Cairo emphasized its absolute rejection of such provocative practices, characterizing them as a blatant violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and the established historical and legal status quo in occupied East Jerusalem. The diplomatic statement warned of the severe dangers posed by these recurring violations, stressing that they fuel regional tensions and directly threaten stability across the region. Egypt reaffirmed its rejection of any unilateral Israeli attempts to alter the status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque and called on the international community to assume its responsibilities by taking decisive action to halt Israeli provocations.

🇮🇷|The three signatories to the Mecca Agreement have flown to Tehran. The person who proposed this initiative is Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff. October 26, 2026. Tehran. Ali Bagheri-Kani, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, has announced details regarding an upcoming summit. Pakistan: Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir. Saudi Arabia: Minister of Defense Khalid bin Salman. Türkiye: Head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) İbrahim Kalın. Iran: Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei. The initiator: Munir. He floated the idea during a visit to Tehran last week. It did not come from Saudi Arabia, nor from Turkey. It came from the very Chief of Army Staff who, under the Mecca Agreement, pledged to use Pakistani troops to defend the Saudi royal family. 💥 What is the Mecca Agreement, and why are its signatories sitting in Tehran? Signed in August 2026, the agreement stipulates that an attack on any member state shall be considered an attack on all. Saudi Arabia provides the funding; Pakistan contributes a nuclear deterrent and ground forces; Turkey supplies drones and intelligence. The objective: to contain Iran and its regional allies. Earlier this month, defense officials from the three nations held an emergency meeting in Riyadh, agreeing to the "rapid deployment" of military forces to defend Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, Ansarallah’s missiles struck the Ministry of Defense building in Riyadh, the airport in Dammam, oil facilities in Yanbu, pumping stations along the East-West Pipeline, and an oil refinery in Rabigh. The American security umbrella failed to stop the strikes. Intelligence sharing from Israel proved ineffective. The "collective defense" clause of the Mecca Agreement was never triggered. Not a single signatory deployed troops to defend Saudi Arabia. And now, the top military and intelligence representatives of these three signatories are in Tehran at the behest of Pakistan. This is a plea for help. A defense treaty with an implicit anti-Iran objective has, at the moment of true need, proven to be nothing more than a bounced check. Meanwhile, the three signatories of that "check" have flown to the very capital of the nation they once sought to contain. 🎯 Why Each Party Came Why did Munir propose this? Pakistan’s border with Iran oscillates between closure and reopening; its LPG supply chains have fractured, leaving kitchens without fuel; and its military officers have been killed in bombings in Gwadar. While Pakistan has deployed troops to Saudi Arabia, it has no desire to go to war with Iran on the Saudis' behalf. Munir is walking a tightrope balancing obligations under the "Mecca Agreement" against the harsh realities along the Iranian border. He proposed this summit to facilitate direct dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran, sparing Pakistan the need to choose a side. Why did Khalid bin Salman come? As Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense and brother to the Crown Prince, his presence signals a tacit admission by Riyadh: the United States cannot protect Saudi airports or oil infrastructure. The 56 aerial assaults and 3,179 total strikes carried out by Ansarallah are no mere border skirmishes, they are direct blows to the lifeblood of the Saudi economy. He has come to Tehran in search of a de-escalation path that does not rely on Washington, fully aware that the key to such de-escalation lies not in Riyadh, but in Tehran. Why did Kalin come? Türkiye is a signatory to the Mecca Agreement, though it never committed to providing troops. Kalin, an intelligence chief rather than a diplomat, is present to ensure that Türkiye is not sidelined from any regional security arrangements. Ankara’s interests spanning Syria, the Caucasus, and energy are intricately intertwined with those of Tehran. His presence in the room is a move to observe, coordinate, and secure a place for Türkiye within any framework for "indigenous regional security." Why did Rezaei preside? As the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and a Major General in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), he represents the force that set the summit’s agenda covering issues such as Zionist expansion, occupied Palestine, and Lebanon. Tehran did not ask them to come; it simply set the table. And the three signatories to the Mecca Agreement walked in of their own accord. 📜 "Endogenous Security": Baghaei had already laid out the agenda: Zionist expansion, the situation in occupied Palestine, and Lebanon. Not Yemen. Not the borders. Not the "Iranian threat." An alliance originally formed with the goal of countering Iran flew to Tehran only to discuss Israeli expansion and the occupation of Palestine. Tehran’s framework is "endogenous security".the idea that regional security must be managed by the regional states themselves, independent of U.S. bases in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Jordan; independent of the Fifth Fleet; and independent of CENTCOM. The Mecca Agreement relied precisely on the U.S.-led security architecture. Yet now, three of its signatories are sitting in Tehran, discussing "endogenous security." It wasn't "Iran that persuaded them." It was "Ansarallah’s missiles that persuaded them." When the American umbrella proved unable to stop Yemeni missiles, only one alternative remained: talk to Iran. ⚔️ Who Is "Deliberating," and Who Is "Being Deliberated"? The three signatories to the Mecca Agreement are in Tehran to "deliberate" on regional security mechanisms. They did not come to "receive orders"; they came to "find a way out." But the place they arrived at is Tehran. The table they are sitting at is presided over by Rezaei. The agenda they are discussing was set by Iran. Munir proposed this summit, but the framework is Iranian. Khalid bin Salman brought Saudi Arabia’s demands but the response to those demands lies in Tehran. Kalin brought Turkey’s observations but what he is observing is how Iran is redefining the rules of regional security. And Tehran did not fire a single shot. It simply let Ansarallah’s missiles keep flying. And so, the signatories of the Mecca Agreement flew in themselves. 🔻 The Mirror The Mecca Agreement says: Let us unite against Iran. The table in Tehran says: Let us discuss Palestine and Israeli expansion. The Mecca Agreement says: We rely on the United States for our security. The table in Tehran says: The United States cannot protect you. That is precisely why you are here. The Mecca Agreement says: Iran is the threat. The table in Tehran says: The threat is in Gaza. In Lebanon. In the West Bank. In the Golan Heights. It is not in this room. An alliance formed with the goal of opposing Iran has flown to Tehran to discuss Palestine. The proposal came from the very army chief who once pledged to defend Saudi Arabia with Pakistani soldiers. The proceedings were hosted by a major general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This is not a "victory for Iran." It is a "victory for reality." And Tehran simply set the table. Long live Iran. Long live Palestine. Long live the Resistance. Long live the Axis of Resistance.

Here's why Brazil’s Supreme Court extended voting today. In 2023, the Court ruled in ADPF 1.013 that cities must provide free public transit on Election Day. Today, buses went missing in Salvador, São Paulo, and Feira de Santana. All three mayors endorsed Flávio Bolsonaro. In Salvador, judges found buses parked in the garage on city orders and ordered the transit secretary arrested. So Justice Zanin enforced the Court’s own ruling: two extra hours for the voters those cities left stranded. It's alleged that Bolsonaro loyalists grounding public transit to suppress the vote violated a Supreme Court order, which is the actual scandal today. Not that the Supreme Court granted the requests of BOTH candidates to extended voting so that voters would not be disenfranchised. But it's telling that MAGA thinks that latter is the scandal.

This is extraordinary detail on how the 250 MP candidates on the Student List were chosen in Serbia. They are now projected to win about 140 of 250 seats. Incredible outbreak of direct, participatory democracy to product a Parliament of doctors, scientists, artists and activists.

Lana Nusseibeh (pictured here with Israel regime ambassador Gilad Erdan) who is being pushed by US-Israel aligned Gulf monarchies and several US and Western figures to become the next UN Secretary-General, is most known in diplomatic circles for running cover for the genocide in Sudan and for pushing to normalize the Israeli apartheid regime as it perpetrates a genocide in Palestine. Fluent in Hebrew and with a master’s degree in Israel studies, she has been a key actor in pushing the treacherous “Abraham Accords” and Trump’s colonial “Board of Peace.” In the Epstein Files, she is seen helping Epstein (and Israel) collaborator Terje Larsen to get his son into NYU, and helping Epstein himself to visit the UAE. A truly terrible candidate.
