Exit polls from Israel's Oct 27 election show Netanyahu's coalition dropped to about 50 seats, short of a majority, with the opposition near 52-53 and Arab parties at 17-18. No official results yet—counting continues, no winner declared. Deadlock likely means weeks of talks. Claim of "officially lost" is inaccurate.

UI and math time! UI = f(props) is the most famous line in React. But that f is JavaScript, not math.
Inspired by @_chenglou’s Handwired project, I compiled a <Dashboard/> component into a real math function, and asked what becomes possible.

these are very small txns so like, dozens of microseconds to low hundreds. one of our staff was testing a clob at like ~600 TPS (iirc) yesterday but that is limited by the transaction sender most likely.

It has been interesting to watch San Francisco as it has been stripped of nearly all of its original countercultural garments (distrust/apathy towards The Cathedral, high-openness, suspicion of credentialism, original thought, etc.) and has donned a new zeitgeist that is the absolute antithesis of its former ethos.
Everywhere you look resembles third-world, low-trust, social hierarchy jostling . "How much did you raise bro? Did you get the Sequoia check? You don't work at a Tier 1 lab? You didn't... didn't go to Stanford?".
The city that was once great because of its disgust with these sorts of people has now been corrupted by them as they have min-maxed Machiavellian social dynamics to accumulate power in the valley like XP points. Power which is now completely divorced from any genuine talent, skill, or benevolence. All that matters is that you are able to Scam a16z out of $15M (@cluely) because you are a poaster and you are anointed with SF Clout™
This infestation is so deep that even those who rightfully call it out are still willful participants in the exact culture they so detest (check her bio).
made me physically disgusted reading this
>literally the only reason why you care about a person you have not met is because they've done something publicly approved
not only is it not true, this kind of mindset is so inhumane. sad for him but also the fact that lots of tech bros think like this to some degree. reject treating people transactionally.

i'm sure you're all better than me at this but just some of what we've seen if it helps - they're not going to stop. it's going to get increasingly sophisticated and they're going to go after every surface of your system and all of your employees
any old projects you've long forgotten about will be found and used against you
the only reason we're surviving is because we have agents going 24/7. we're still barely sleeping
good luck, sorry you're dealing with this, but really it's a collective problem we're all facing together
team of two and my cofounder is still at one of the most difficult eng schools grinding hw @samyaksimulates

Today, we are releasing the first frontier agent harness built to give individual traders the capabilities of an investment firm.
For decades, institutional advantage has come from organizing talented people around large pools of capital. We’re making that organizational capacity available to individuals.
Introducing Instinct, backed by @ycombinator.
first AI trading terminal that actually seems to be usable

HUGE UPDATE !!!
Muse has now completed full place and route in OpenROAD and generated a final GDS for our RISC-V based crypto accelerator SoC. The crypto accelerator includes SHA-256/512, Keccak, Ed25519 + secp256k1 field arithmetic and closed on nangate45 with the following specs:
- 61,590 cells
- 100 MHz with +4.5 ns slack,
- 20 mW, zero DRC/electrical violations.
The GDS is public and is under releases in the repo. The host core has also passed the full RISC-V scalar compliance sweep too which consists of ACT suites + 1.5M Berkeley TestFloat vectors. This was all done with ~100M output tokens or roughly ~$2,000 of work !!!
Next step for me... add vector instructions, rip out the third party core we used as a baseline, and then port to run the @thru_xyz block chain natively on the chip with the exact memory map to make it the fastest block chain on earth.
If anyone has any MPW shuttles coming soon that aren't quite booked please reach out! We are looking to start taping out ASAP and my hope is to pass DRC on a new node by end of month.
i feel like swe interviews could probably collapse into just 2 technical rounds:
• system design (how well can you articulate your ideas, do you actually know how to engineer something)
• onsite project to build a real thing with agents (can you translate your intent into high quality outcomes)
everything else we used to ask is no longer necessary
