some new chains build privacy in, but they mostly serve people willing to move there.
@primus_labs is taking a different route.
it brings privacy to the networks people already use, so nothing has to move.
the tool behind it is FHE
with FHE your data stays locked while it's being used.
the computer can work with it without ever seeing what's inside.
but there's a catch, regular FHE keeps data private, it doesn't prove the result is correct, so a wrong answer that still looks real could be sent
that's where zkFHE comes in
zkFHE attaches a proof to the result, so you can check the work wasn't faked.
it's still being built. Primus has more work to do before it's ready for everyday use.
you shouldn't have to move to a new chain to get privacy
and you shouldn't have to just trust that the answer is right
