When you build a community, you bring people together around a shared purpose. Your members might want to learn, use a product or solve problems together. Give them ways to connect with each other, beyond reading your updates. Happy weekend 💙

GM GM Honestly, I didn’t achieve much this weekend, and that’s okay. After a long week and finally getting through my exams, I just needed to breathe a little. Still doing a bit of work in the background, getting things ready, and preparing myself for next week. Sometimes the weekend isn’t about doing more. Sometimes it’s just about resting, resetting, and getting ready to come back stronger. New week, we go again. 💙

Yesterday, I finally understood why people get so angry when they hear stories about thieves in Nigeria. I had a very long day yesterday. My external supervisor came for my SIWES supervision, and thankfully, everything went well. On my way home, I stopped at Ogunpa Market to get a white shirt and belt in preparation for my SIWES defense next month. I later boarded a tricycle around Cocoa House, Ogunpa, heading towards Eleyele, for those who know Ibadan well. When we got to Eleyele, the driver asked everyone to start paying from the back. When it got to my turn, I stepped down from the tricycle to pay my fare. The moment my feet touched the ground, this man sped off. I was confused. Why would someone do that? Then I reached into my pocket to check for my phone and realized it wasn't there. I searched my pockets. I searched my bag. I checked everything I had bought from the market. Nothing. That's when it hit me. I had most likely been set up. The fact that he didn't collect my fare suddenly made sense. It felt like the whole thing had already been planned. My phone was gone. And honestly, losing a phone is painful, but losing one this way hurts even more. I'm returning to Ekiti next week Friday to resume school, with my final year ahead of me, my SIWES defense coming up, and several expenses already waiting for me. Now I have to deal with losing my phone on top of everything else. The phone that was stolen was my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. I'm putting this out here because I genuinely need help. If anyone is willing to support me financially towards getting an Android phone around N150,000 – N200,000, it would go a long way in helping me get through my final year while I work towards getting another good phone for myself. I'd genuinely appreciate every form of support. Nothing is too small, and I won't take anyone's kindness for granted. my payment detail is: 8033215272 Opay the name on it is Oluwasanmi Solomon Afolabi for anyone who wants to support me. I even had to log into my X account on my big sister's phone just to make this post. That's how hard I'm currently managing without my phone. May God bless everyone who supports me in any way. And may none of us ever experience the kind of loss caused by people who choose to make a living by stealing from others. May our belongings never become another person's target. Day 2 of my marketing journey. I continued my course today and something made real sense to me. The instructor explained that marketing runs on four core parts — and these parts stay the same no matter the industry or platform. Here they are: 1. Strategy The overall plan. The direction behind every move. 2. Theory Branding, positioning, influencer marketing — the ideas that shape perception. 3. Channels The places you show up. How you grow on social platforms and reach people organically. 4. Extras How to turn your skills into income and present your value in a way that gets attention. Understanding this made me realise marketing isn’t guesswork. It’s a structured system, and once you grasp it, you can apply it anywhere — including Web3. Next up is marketing research. I’ll probably share what I learn in my next update. Stay tuned. teapaw.org/blue_crypte/status/199…
Day one of learning marketing let me tell you how it really started. A few days ago, I was scrolling through a post and saw a marketer break it down in the simplest way: If you’re new, you need two things — a mentor and a course. Simple, but it hit me🙃 Because I don’t have a mentor yet. Nobody to point and say, “Blue, go this way.” So I told myself I’ll start with the one I can control, the course📝 Today, I bought my first one. And it wasn’t even easy. I didn’t have a card to pay, so I literally spent over three hours at the bank just to get an ATM card. Sitting there, waiting, tired… all because I wanted to invest in this one step. The course is called The Complete Digital Marketing Guide (27 courses in one). Over 70 hours. Now, some people might say “But that’s Web2 marketing, not Web3.” I actually asked ChatGPT about this, and the answer made sense: The foundation is the same. Marketing is still psychology, audience understanding, storytelling, strategy. The only difference is the platforms and the execution. So yes. I’m starting from Web2. I’m learning the basics properly. I’m taking the long route. So yeah… today feels like a small beginning, but it’s a beginning I’m proud of.

Let me say this: it’s going to be painful if you don’t get your account monetized now, that it seems like it’s quite easy for everyone to do it. don’t feel too big to ask questions; ask others who has done theirs to give you tips on how they did it. honestly getting 5m impressions isn’t that difficult. should I drop a compressive guide on how to get your impressions up to 5m in not time? 100 retweets and I will drop a guide Let’s go!

Web3 Founders, hear me... Stop wasting your marketing budget. Before you run any marketing activity, fix these two things, They will save you money and help you get better results. And note this... You cannot do any of this effectively without a real marketing team and a strategist. Right now I see a lot of projects, at least 80%, running marketing activities without: 1. Knowing their target audience 2. Segmenting their target audience Then at the end they complain that nothing worked. If you are a smart founder, who wants profit and growth from your spend, you need a marketing team that helps you: 1. Identify who your project is for 2. Understand how to reach them, where to reach them, and who or what you need to reach them 3. Tailor your marketing activities to different users at different stages These three things are what separate marketing that drives growth from marketing that burns cash. They helped me drive real results in past campaigns, including: * 1,000 signups in 7 days * Faster community growth and higher engagement * 5,000 dollars in product volume and strong mindshare for a startup project on Base in 14 days A Base strategist like me will take it further to find out… So smart founders, fix these three things before you run any marketing or growth activity. If you don't know how, Reach out and let me help you get it right.

“𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐬” At least that is what people say. I used to believe it too until something happened that made me look at marketing in another way. I went into a store to buy a perfume set. I saw two options that smelled almost the same but one was far more expensive. I wanted the cheaper one and the seller kept pushing the costly one. She said expensive things feel like luxury and better quality. I bought it because part of me already believed that idea. Some weeks later I smelled the cheaper one on someone else and it was just as good as mine. That was when it clicked for me. The seller did not lie to me. She simply used a story that matched what I already believed about price and quality. That is how marketing works. It is not always about tricks. It is about storytelling and understanding consumer psychology. It is about knowing the story people already hold in their minds and speaking to that story. I learned this again while reading Seth Godin’s book titled All Marketers Are Storytellers. Marketers are not liars. They are storytellers who shape how we see a product or a brand. If you are building something or trying to grow a community, then ask yourself what story you are telling and who already believes that story. ~ Blue💙

some of the latest grants approved on arbitrum: > Arbitrum Accounts (Unicorndoteth) fixing the nightmare that is onboarding embedded, seedless wallets and built in fiat on/off ramps so new users can start using dapps in seconds > PLAY3 (ai gaming infrastructure) bringing ai agents into massive digital worlds like roblox and minecraft 380k users already, and they’re building a bridge between web2 gaming and onchain engagement > Stylus Builders Lunch (WakeUp Labs) a curated, invite only environment connecting stylus builders with the people who make decisions technical talks and private networking aimed at creating at least five new stylus ecosystem partnerships > Brazil DePIN / RWA / Gaming Education Hub (FECOXA) closing the education gap in LATAM by producing localized content in portuguese teaching thousands of new users onchain concepts, onboarding them directly into arbitrum gaming, DePIN and RWA ecosystems @arbitrum is actively funding onboarding, gaming, ai, education, irl activation, and infra if you learned something last cycle… if you identified gaps that frustrated you… if you have even a half baked idea that solves a real user pain point… this is such a strong opportunty markets are quiet and attention is low, but arb grants are still being distributed build something useful apply there is genuinely no better time to take a punt
it's absurd how many people are saying there's nothing to do in this market @arbitrum is handing out opportunities on a silver platter rn to builders and users but you're probably to busy complaining or shitposting to notice > the grants program is still one of the best in the entire space if you’re a builder and you don’t at least look at DDA 3.0, idk what to tell you there’s millions of dollars left across tracks - new protocols, dev tooling, gaming, education, community growth if you have > a tool > an idea > a pain point you can solve > or an existing product that can expand you should be applying bear markets are historically when winners are made > users have more steady yield here than almost anywhere else restaking plays, stablecoin loops, usdc pairs earning points from multiple protocols at once you can literally stack base APR, ecosystem incentives AND protocol points with minimal complexity > composability is finally paying off half these strategies exist because the ecosystem is deep enough you can bridge -> mint -> stake -> loop -> LP across multiple apps without needing a centralized exchange > the discovery layer is alive new users still enter through arbitrum because there’s stuff to do new protocols launching, existing ones running incentive cycles, and cross ecosystem collabs constantly popping up if you’re building, this is one of the best ecosystems still writing checks and giving you users if you’re farming, layered yield is crazy here rn if you’re exploring, this is where the activity still hasn’t died if you’re serious about not wasting the bear, arb is one of the easiest places to start make sure to bookmark this for reference
