It was clear from the start that Carney was preparing to bring Canada into the society of lunatics. It didnβt matter that the EU was bankrupt, in search of new wealth or provoking Russia into war. What mattered was his pipe dream of membership, a dream which needed to be sold to Canadians. But how to sell it ? Provoke Trump and use his retaliatory rhetoric and vindictive tariffs to shore up his rationale: we can no longer rely on the US alone for trade and must diversify. But Carney exploited the term diversify to by attempting to bring Canada into the asylum.

Panko Shrimp
hereβs how to coat shrimp with panko for a light, crispy crust.
Classic 3-Step Breading Method
This is the most reliable way to get panko to stick well.
Basic ingredients (for ~1 lb shrimp):
β’ 1 lb large or jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails left on if you like)
β’ Β½ cup all-purpose flour (seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and optional paprika or Old Bay)
β’ 2 eggs, beaten (thin slightly with 1β2 Tbsp water or milk)
β’ 1Β½β2 cups panko breadcrumbs (plain or lightly seasoned)
β’ Neutral oil for frying (or for air-frying/baking)
Steps:
1. Prep the shrimp: Pat them very dry with paper towels. Excess moisture is the #1 reason breading falls off. Optionally score the underside lightly so they stay straighter.
2. Set up a breading station (three shallow dishes):
β’ Dish 1: Seasoned flour
β’ Dish 2: Beaten egg wash
β’ Dish 3: Panko
3. Coat:
β’ Dredge shrimp in flour; shake off excess.
β’ Dip fully in egg; let excess drip off.
β’ Press firmly into panko, covering all sides (use your fingers to pack it on so there are no bare spots).
β’ Use one hand for dry ingredients and the other for the wet egg to keep the panko from clumping.
4. Optional rest: Place breaded shrimp on a rack or plate and chill 10β15 minutes. This helps the coating set and adhere better during cooking.
