THE TRUTH ABOUT FARM MURDERS IN SA — JUST DROPPED
Politicsweb — 25 Oct 2026
Russell Lamberti interviews Dr James Myburgh — the man who has tracked farm attacks since 1991.
What he found:
📊 NUMBERS ARE NOT IN DISPUTE
- 327 attacks, 66 murders in 1991 alone
- Peak: 150 murders/year in 1997
- Sustained 90+/year until 2010
- 2025: 30 murders — lowest in 26 years, thanks to private security, not policing
- Close to 3,000 documented victims to be commemorated in Washington DC
📜 ORIGINS: NOT "JUST CRIME"
Myburgh traces first wave to mid-1980s ANC campaign from exile to "clear white farmers off the land":
1. General incitement to seize land
2. Landmine warfare + assassinations
3. Guerrilla infiltration to arm & direct youth groups
"That's how 'Kill the Boer' was first injected into SA" — Myburgh
From 1990s, attacks resurged amid transition — paramilitary networks continued.
❓ TODAY?
- Farmers remain MORE likely than other South Africans to be attacked at home and killed during attack
- Gov inquiries that say "robbery motive only" flawed
- Policing capacity collapsed — farmers responded with own security
- Expropriation Act & "Kill the Boer" chant keep fear alive
Myburgh: "Progressive intellectuals deny the phenomenon even exists. But the names of 3,000 dead are real."

African mainstream narratives often blame the Democratic Republic of the Congo's (DRC) disorder exclusively on foreign exploitation.
The tragic reality is that the DRC's most devastating architect of misery was not a Belgian colonizer, but a native African son.
Mobutu did not just mismanage the Congo; he designed a systematic blueprint for state-sanctioned theft, a kleptocracy so profound that it continues to plague the continent's governance systems today.
Mobutu treated the entire national treasury as his private bank account. At one point, the mining parastatal Gécamines deposited its revenues directly into his personal account.
In 1973, he nationalized all foreign-owned commercial entities and handed them over to his political cronies. Lacking any business acumen or accountability, his loyalists ran these enterprises into the ground, collapsing the agricultural and industrial base.
While national roads dissolved into mud, hospitals ran out of medicine, and soldiers went unpaid, Mobutu amassed a personal fortune estimated between $1 billion and $5 billion. He built a $100 million "Versailles in the Jungle" palace in his remote home village of Gbadolite, complete with a runway built to accommodate supersonic Concorde jets chartered for private family shopping trips to Paris.
To blame the modern scars of the DRC solely on King Leopold II or Belgian colonial rule is to ignore three decades of brutal, indigenous dictatorship.
Mobutu's internal apparatus was ruthlessly violent. Just months after taking power, he had four former government ministers publicly hanged in a sports stadium before a crowd of 50,000 people to terrorize potential dissenters.
His regime institutionalized torture, executions, and the weaponization of ethnic divisions. By deliberately keeping the national army weak and underpaid to prevent a coup against himself, he left the country structurally defenseless.
When regional geopolitical shifts triggered the First Congo War in 1996, the entire state imploded. Mobutu's legacy did not end when he fled into exile in 1997.
His deliberate dismantling of state institutions created the power vacuum that turned the DRC into a multi-decade battleground for regional wars, costing millions of civilian lives.
Mobutu did not rule in isolation; he was actively validated, enabled, and cheered by his African peers.
Throughout his decades of plunder, the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) routinely shielded him from accountability under the banner of "non-interference" in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
Fellow African leaders regularly shared stages with him, and he served as OAU Chairperson from 1967 to 1968.
Leaders like Idi Amin of Uganda and Jean-Bédel Bokassa of the Central African Republic maintained robust diplomatic alliances with him, trading favors and celebrating Mobutu as an elder statesman of the continent.
Rather than condemning the open bleeding of Zaire's resources, the African political class of the era institutionalized a brotherhood of solidarity among tyrants, prioritizing the survival of rulers over the survival of their people.
The collapse of Zaire under Mobutu proves an uncomfortable but necessary truth: the fundamental crisis holding back African progress is not a lack of resources, but a catastrophic failure of governance and leadership.
The DRC possesses vast reserves of cobalt, copper, gold, and diamonds. Yet because Mobutu established a blueprint where state power exists solely for personal enrichment, nepotism, and patronage, that immense natural wealth became a curse rather than an asset.
Until African nations cultivate a firm culture of meritocracy, fiscal discipline, and institutional accountability, no amount of natural resources will be enough to overcome the rot of bad leadership.

Every sector this government has centralised has collapsed to the point where now they demand the private sector must "partner" with the communists to help them fix it.
This isn't a partnership, the government wants private business to clean up their mess and then once fixed they will simply recentralise it and in 20 years we will back here with the useless communists begging private business to save them.
If you're a private company, you should refuse to help these thieves unless they are willing to sell the infrastructure to you.

A year ago, I asked the @EFFSouthAfrica how the school they promised to build was coming along. Their answers were, well, not forthcoming. If @Julius_S_Malema asked voters not to vote for them if they did not complete that school in 5 years, maybe those voters should listen to him, it has been 7 years...
Julius Malema, leier van die EFF, is nou 'n veroordeelde misdadiger.
Kyk hier na 'n debat tussen die EFF en Jacques Broodryk, AfriForum se hoofwoordvoerder vir gemeenskapsveiligheid.

We're going to discuss racial exclusion with the Minister of Land Reform. We will soon publish a report on racial exclusion by the SA government, the extent of the failure of land reform, and propose what could be done. Our ultimate objective remains decentralisation.

The West spent decades condemning apartheid.
In 1985, the apartheid government itself rejected a plan to move black people even 50 kilometres to their own homelands. The reason given was humanitarian and economic. Deportation was considered too extreme.
Today the fastest-growing parties in Europe are openly calling for the deportation of millions — including, in some proposals, people born in Europe — back to Africa and the Middle East.
The West is starting to understand what it spent decades condemning.

SAPS in one clip. Drunk member in full uniform plows his private car into a motorcyclist in Pretoria West, then can barely stand. Civilians have to hold him by the belt because he’s too hammered to stay upright. When his Pretoria West colleagues arrive, they don’t cuff him or throw him in the cage, they escort him into the back seat so he can cover his face and ride in comfort.
Zero respect left. Disgraceful.

African history curriculums deliberately omit critical truths:
— Slavery was a global practice: Africans actively captured and sold other Africans into slavery.
— Colonialism is a universal human phenomenon: Throughout history, stronger powers have always taken over weaker civilizations.
There is no one as historically illiterate as the average modern African.
Traditional narratives of the African slave trade focus heavily on the buyers while ignoring the local leaders and merchants who sold the captives.
It is an uncomfortable truth that African elites sold their own people into slavery.
When history is cherry-picked or whitewashed, it loses its educational value.
It is far better to tell the whole, unfiltered truth than half-truths that completely distort historical reality.

In 2026, the elderly in Europe are vulnerable within their own native nations, where they are routinely tormented for TikTok likes.
These invaders film themselves tormenting elderly citizens for "fun" because they suffer zero institutional consequence.
When you replace a disciplined, rule of law framework with unbridled lawlessness and a culture of primitive intimidation, the baseline safety of ordinary grandfathers is the very first thing to be sacrificed.
They film their barbarism because they have no fear of the law, no respect for human dignity, and absolutely no stake in the future of the territory they inhabit.
It takes generations of concentrated engineering and cultural discipline to build a safe, civil society, but it only takes a single generation of lawless elements to turn it into an open-air theater of savagery.
