SaaS boilerplates with their original value prop, "Ship faster" and "Build an MVP in days," are dying (same goes for low-price MVP shops, btw). AI tools ate that positioning. But if you reposition your boilerplate for the agentic era, with "security" and "a proper foundation" as the value prop, there's real demand for that. We, as a product studio (@FeatherFlowTech), use boilerplates all the time. And we are heavy in agentic coding. Just because someone slept on repositioning their product and literally stopped doing marketing in general doesn't mean the whole category is dead. Shipfast could still make a lot of money (if Marc wanted to).
