Some people are so terrible to watch movies with. the same type of people who put media on in the background, just to escape silence. i respect media and all stimulus. Somebody made this thing, they’re trying to communicate with you. If there’s a tv on in the room, i’m watching it. if you have something to say about it, we need to pause the movie. A lot of people when you try to watch something with them they just talk the whole time and they don’t understand that every line is a piece of a big puzzle and when you miss anything you neuter your appreciation of the whole picture, and it’s clear to me in many cases that the main goal here tonight is not to appreciate this picture, it’s to “hang out” with me. Which is nerve-inducing and distracting. So mostly i watch movies alone.
