Final Fantasy Resonance is my game of the week, this week. The demo left me very confident and excited for whatās to come on release day. Almost there!
@FinalFantasy
I finally checked out the Final Fantasy Resonance demo.
I was excited for the game before but after spending 9 hours roaming around, the polish, the charm and the overall style further convinced me this is going to be a must play.
Check out my demo impressionsšš½

Watched an awesome interview with @itmeJP @CohhCarnage and @WillJPowers discussing the upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown.
I had a lot of questions going into its release this week, and they were all addressed in the conversation.
I put well over 200 hours into this game, and deciding to start a new game to experience all the additions fresh, specifically around the story is something I now plan to do.
Crimson Desert has always hit different on many levels, and I think this new content will do so again.

Valor Mortis: Sphinx, Devourer of the Unworthy
From the moment I started this game, I have had moments where I thought I had this game pegged and relatively figured out..
And then, every new weapon I find, ability I acquire, or boss I encounter shows me something different and unexpected.
I like a game that can keep me guessing.
Well deserved on so many metrics.
For open ended gameplay and exploration, a powerful new engine that blows your mind with visuals near and farā¦
An ultimate brand of customer service Iāve seen in a developer providing more content and quality updates in the shortest time Iāve seen in this industry.
The game deserves this, and the team deserves an award as well. Reward dev teams like this, that still know how to go above and beyond for the players.
We're honored to share that #CrimsonDesert has been nominated for Ultimate Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards 2026! š
Thank you to all the Greymanes who have been with us on this journey.

My second most anticipated game of the year is merely days away. Being such a fan of old school martial arts movies/culture and fighting games growing up...
I cannot express how excited I am that this day is finally here. @pbzero_official

Rolled credits on Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter...
I play a lot of games, and its extremely rare to find a game that delivers on everything. An exceptional story, that takes its time with pacing and character development; AND has a completely thought-out ending that satisfies and makes you ask questions, WHILE delivering on gameplay in every way possible way.
This game is THE complete gaming package, the kind of game I am always searching for but never find. 2nd Chapter is one of the easiest GOTY contenders I've chosen and I didn't have to think about it.
Trails in the Sky 3rd, you're next! And Kevin Graham, we're gonna have to talk bro!
Itās impressive how far along this game was.
I can only imagine how differently we would be talking about this now, if they had shared their progress with the fans along the way through mini docs, art work, character reveals...
Two things need to happen, that many developers are still not doing. Is keeping their head down to do the work, WHILE bringing your fan base along for the ride. That provides content that keeps your game in the conversation while you work on it.
In an industry of gamers, AAA still hasnāt figured out how this social media game is being played.
I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
⢠Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
⢠You play as a customizable N7 agent
⢠Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
⢠Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
⢠A galaxy divided into three major factions
⢠Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
⢠Council races forming their own alliance
⢠The Geth emerging as a third superpower
⢠A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
⢠Geth-built megastructures
⢠Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
⢠Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
⢠Hacking and manipulating the environment
⢠See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
⢠Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
⢠But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
⢠Brutal close-range executions
⢠Squadmates who can clash with each other
⢠Romance wasn't being sanitised
⢠Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

Final Fantasy Resonance: Ramuh & the Mom Bomb
One thing I really like about playing this game so far, is the pacing. From story beat to dungeons, there's always a new Vision to pickup, an interesting side quest, a summon to prove your strength towards, and the story beats also just keep things moving at pretty quick pace.
There's something about this pacing I appreciate, and makes the experience that much more enjoyable.
Itās understated how appreciative it is to see a team that listens to their fanbase.
Also would love to see this team acquire the Mass Effect IP. Would be a full circle moment.
My Godā¦I donāt get excited for CG trailers like I used to, but this looked good. Plus, it looks like Liara wouldāve been backā¦
They shouldāve posted this trailer when it was finishedā¦I hope the franchise can still be salvaged in some way.

We're excited to welcome @BonafideXP as our newest RLC Indie Games Advocate š
Here's what he had to say about supporting indie developers:
"I think strongly that indie games and developers are going to be the backbone of our industry over the next decade. We need their passion to tell stories, their dedication towards creativity and their smaller footprint to show this industry doesnāt need the AAA level budgets to show success."
Welcome aboard, sir! š«”
The Mass Effect trilogy to date is one of my favorite series in gaming ever made. It elevated the Sci-fi genre for me, to heights I never saw in this industry.
I will always celebrate the greatness that this trilogy brought to gaming, despite a divisive endingā¦
@bioware
Jesus. The end of BioWare, the end of Dragon Age, Mass Effect. Some of the greatest games Iāve ever played as a kid growing up.
To watch it crumble into what it has become the last 10+ years to now being shutdownā¦
The writing has been on the wall, and it still just sucks.

Valor Mortis: Eternal Guardsman (Caverns)
I've found that I never block when I play this game, so I've been playing exclusively with the Rapier which removes my ability to block, but enhances my parries when I land them. Clutch.
This makes dueling with these Eternal Guardsmen so much more interesting. Really loving this game.
Street Fighter 2026: Movie Impressions
When it comes to video game movies, I always have tempered expectations and a low bar set; and I found this movie to be fun and mostly enjoyable.
There are a handful of good comedic moments, the fights themselves were bone crunching albeit a bit too short. And the animated sections were phenomenal.
I do think many of the characters couldāve had more screen time even for 2 hours, but the standout roles for me were Dhalsim, Ryu, Chun Li, and Akuma.
Honda, Balrog and Bison were very solid. Wish we saw more of them.
Guile was the joke character surprisingly, more so than Dan, and Cammy felt more like Harley-Quinn. Both very disappointing.
I put this movie on the level of Mortal Kombat 1995, and is now my second favorite Street Fighter movie adaptation. Itās cheesy fun, that had some hard hitting and fun moments; and never took itself too serious.
If you walk into to this movie with high expectations, I think youāre doing yourself and the movie a disservice.
Definitely adding this to the collection.
Sony put the clamps on too hard for too many things gamers enjoy, they forgot that gamers are actually tech savvy enough to find the things they want through alternate means.
Sony is going to learn the hard way before they realize this is a losing battle.
I never thought I'd see the day Bloodborne coming out for PC would come, but here we are an unofficial PC Port that Sony refused to do is now available
> It has controller remapping
> graphics settings
> DLSS and FSR support
> FPS and resolution are also unlocked
Ironic that this is the best way to play Bloodborne for now
The new look at 1.0 for No Rest for the Wicked looks incredible. The new Class system looks like a ton of fun, Factions also; and Cerim Cores is looking to add some nice flexibility.
If this was what the delay was for, I think it will be more than worth it. @thomasmahler
